Make those Surplus Cots easy to set up. Look at the center hinges on both sides, take out the screws and cut a inch from both tubes on both side, re-place tubes into the hinges, drill holes to replace the screws and tighten. Put your Cot together by putting one end piece on then putting the corner of the other end on, now stand cot and step the other corner into place. You thank me after everytime you set up the cot now. 😅

Still, mine is a real bitch, it seems to shrink it's time it's used, get's harder each time to assemble. We use a two-man system. However, in the field, it sure beats sleeping on a ground mat.
