In this video, Landan explains the straightforward process of assembling SVE's Cobra-style calipers. This how-to video should alleviate common tech questions that come about when purchasing a set of brand new, unassembled calipers or if you are needing to replace the brake pads in your existing calipers.
SVE Cobra Brake Caliper Kit.
Upgrade the brakes on your 1999-2004 Mustang GT/V6, or replace your worn out Cobra brakes, with this SVE Cobra brake caliper kit! This SVE brake caliper kit includes a set of new Cobra style, two-piston brake calipers. SVE's Cobra calipers are brand new units in a bare finish so you can paint to match any color you want. These calipers do not have the Cobra text. Stock compound brake pads and new caliper hardware are included to complete your caliper installation!
Installation Note:
- Caliper pistons may need to be adjusted/compressed before installation.
Fitment Notes:
- Will fit 94-98 Mustang if 99-04 brake hoses are used.
- GT/V6 Mustangs will need 13" brake rotors to complete the installation of these calipers.

Big help, thanks! Why does the hardware kit (LRS-2296A) seem to show only 4 clips total, whereas this indicates there are 6? Are the others built into the front-side pads?

Yes, the outside pads do have two clips included when making the install. The hardware kit will include the 4 additional clips to make it all fit.

Beware. If you try and assemble as follows. You will scratch your newly painted calibers. I found it better to install calipers on the car with bracket mounted to spindle. Sadly I’m touching up my caliper.

What about the black plastic little clips that come on the front caliper hardware kit ? Where those go?

These are not used on Ford setups. You can simply toss these in the trash.

I seen those plastic clips on cobras, don't they rattle if you dont install those?

The only ones you need on these will be the actual metal clips, these plastic ones are not used on the Ford applications.

what are the torque specs for the caliper bracket to hub bolts?

The torque should be set to 76lb/ft for the caliper bracket
