Thanks for that Doctor. I have pulled the muscle right side near sterno joint or strained. It does not inflame, but feel pain when doing dips and iron cross but really I can not do any dips, because it hurts. I can move all angles with no pain but at base of joint hurts when do dips or strain. So how long do you think my rh sterno muscle will recover? by resting and massage gun. Thanks

Protracting my left shoulder causes my left SC to posteriorly dislocate. It cracks while going and returning from protraction. Neutral position it also appears to be lower than the right one. Any non surgical treatment to solve it? I really didn't mean to bother you but I searched the web the whole night and found nothing. Thanks for your attention

Holy hell. I've been having pain for one year now at the area you were mentioning right at the shoulder, so not the sc joint itself. Can't benchpress anymore. But I've also been having pain at my sc joint for 2 months or so. Not a crazy pain, but a slight pain. Also it cracks when protracting like the girl did in the video. Do these movements fix the problem?
@JohnGibbons

Emre Y it’s easier to get someone like me to assess and then treat as can help but it depends on exactly what is causing the problem as it could be the shoulder itself especially on bench press. Hope that helps, regards JG 😊

John I'm having some discomfort around my sterno-clavicular joint on my left side which I particularly notice when I'm shrugging/rolling my shoulders forward as there's significant grinding / clicking around the joint. I don't notice this as much or at all when shrugging my shoulders up but when shrugging/rolling my shoulders forward there's definitely something not right going on and from watching your video it sounds like the proximal end of the clavicle should move posteriorly in the body or back the way into the body but doesn't do this for me and maybe this is what is happening on my left side. I also feel like I can't raise my left arm as high as my right, so perhaps there's an inspirated / sub-luxed first rib too contributing to this, causing this, or a result of this. I've also experienced symtoms of thoracic outlet syndrome and my left shoulder clicks and grinds, both of which I feel are downstream issues from this dysfunction I've got around either the first rib or sterno-clavicular joint. Do you offer treatment? I'm based in Scotland and all osteopaths / chiropractors I've seen up here either don't know these techniques or aren't at your level. I'm convinced you can save me.

Finally a video thats comparable to my situation, its on both of my shoulders, i had fysio in the Hospital ( didnt like my doctor), but not this kind, but more like light benchpress, pushups and those kind of things. the pain is already lasting 2 years and cracks like hell., and next month i go to the next hospital for a second opinion. i had an injection in the bones in de AC joint but i didnt help and closed the file because they didnt know either and didnt want to do an operation and told me i had to live with it and wished me luck. i was devistated. My SC joints go forward if i put my arms up en click back in when i put them down. and both my shoulders are realy painfull ( like making up my bed is already real painfull), can i get completly rid of it with a good Fysiotherapist or make it less painfull ? and do you maybe got any tips for me ? sorry for bad english, and greeting from the Netherlands. I’ve had this clunking & popping noise that’s very uncomfortable in my left SC joint. This had lead to a lot of numbness / pins and needles on my left arm down to my thumb. This lasts for 5-10 seconds and seems to be getting less constant but at one point was every minute. Do you think the SC joint could be pinching the brachial Nerve ?

Hlllo ....when we see the ac joint ...what is movement of clavicle in lateral end during scapula protraction .. Is it opposite to medial end of clavicle
@JohnGibbons
@JohnGibbons 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, in a simplistic way you can say that for the motion of 'protraction' because the distal end (ACJ) will be going in a forward anterior direction as the proximal end (SCJ) will be going in a backward posterior direction. Hope that helps, regards JG

Hello, Doc! I had a history my parents knew that when I was toddler, they said I got fever that doesn't go. Father thinks, I am anytime would die because I don't eat, and he only feeds me with milk through a dropper. Until I was brought to a local "hilot" doctor, but they said he must be a chiropractor and the hilot said that I was unwell because my thoracic cage is not balanced. They said he placed my body against his chest and somewhat moved something in my thoracic area and they heard popping sounds. My father said, I profusely sweat after that and seems closer to recovery as I began standing again on my trembling feet. Now I am 36 and only thing I notice is I have popping sounds at my right shoulder. My right clavicle and my right scapula create clicking when I move my shoulder up, or when I retract it. When I got my back massaged, the masseuse tells me that my right shoulder blade seems to be stiff when she moves it as if there are resistance. Fortunately, I am not feeling anything painful, only that I hear clicking sounds as always. My right clavicle also anteriorly forwared than the left. Is there something that I still need to do with my right shoulder like have it examined by chiropractor for possible joint realignment or just let it be? Thanks Doc!
