Things to focus for open guard 1. Guard retention 2.a Strong direct attacks to the legs against standing opponents who are pushing forward 2.b Using leglocks not to leglock but to off-balance and make opponent put hands or hips on the floor which enables reversals and wrestle ups with advantage 3. Off-balance and wrestle up against backing up opponent 4.a Butterfly sweeps with various grips for opponents on their knees 4.b Another option for opponents on their knees, get to your knees using technical standup, pull your opponents hands to the floor and attack guillotines or go behind to the back

I think Professor John has designed a curriculum No Gi system unlike anything seen in the grappling community, but the break down instructors are easy to understand each compartment. As Jujitsu and wrestling practitioners we all seen the techniques on an individual basis. Professor John wisdom and excellent insight has an overview of grappling that his will truly move grappling forward to another level. This is evolutionary! I’m going to invest in his system! Thank BJJ Fan for sharing !

@@xkidmidnightx john actually was using a lot of shit marcelo used before he used it and john invented it. John invented the shoulder crunch sumi gaeshi that people claim he took from marcelo... and he invented the darce strangle which no one gives him credit for. There are videos out there doing this stuff from the mid 90's. Before john was too crippled he was fucking up and going toe to toe with the worlds best himself on the mat. @@bradbettis9210 this is true..It cracks me up when people see him as a guy who just popped on the scene last 5 years ago showing leglocks when he has been there since MMA got big in the states.
