They love ferns... almost short-changing travel corridors...if they interconnect/no low hangs/no holes/clean on the ground the deer instinctively are more comfortable here...can turn on afterburners if they have to...

What should type of seed should I plant ,lack of sun, In the woods central south Arkansas?

You ever try broadcasting redmond mineral? Same thing as trophy rock 365 granular. I'll broadcast 35 to 70 lbs a acre. Soil samples show real improvements.
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors9 ай бұрын
I haven’t but that’s good to do. Anything you can do to increase the minerals/micro nutrients in the soil so the plants can uptake it and feed deer is a win win.

I just found your channel because ill be doing a coiple plots this year on a friends property that he lets other vets like me hunt on. I have a ground hog maxx, a 20 gallon sprayer, and a lawn roller to go with my atv. Anyway, ive bever heard of "foliar" feeding. So what do you spray/use and which videos do you explain this more? I wanna do anything i can to improve his land.
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors9 ай бұрын
Foliar feeding is liquid fertilizer. You are spaying the leaves of the plants and it’s absorbed through the leaves. You can spray anything green and growing. They have liquid fertilizer and micro nutrients or a combo. Instead of the plants getting the nutrients from the soil you are spraying the plants directly which 100 percent is utilized

@@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors thanks for the info. I'll definitely be adding that to my arsenal this year.

Do you still use antler grow, or strictly liquid courage from domain?
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors9 ай бұрын
It’s been a year or so since using it. It’s a great product I have just moved on from it.

There's a lot of ferns on the property I hunt. Do the deer eat them?

I need a video of what to do with tornado damaged property
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors9 ай бұрын
I don’t have a tornado damaged property lol. But that would be fairly To work on with a skid steer and chain saw. It would be a matter of cutting trails and using skid steer to clean things up some. Leading trails past stands and having certain areas for bedding if needed

Do you now or ever used 3D electric fencing around your food plots?
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors9 ай бұрын
Back in the day I used the hot zone fence which was a dual perimeter fence. I’ve fenced off soybeans and things for like 30-40 days and then took the fence down. Works well

I’m planting my first ever food plot this year. I’m doing Eagle Seed soybeans. I have been doing research for at least a year. My food plot will only be 1 acre on a 260 acre property. There’s no other real food source for them other than normal acorns and browse things. From everything I have read and watched, if I don’t do an electric fence, the deer will mow down the beans before they get started. I’m also planning the inner and outer fence like you described. I just don’t physically know anyone who has done it to pick their brains.
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors9 ай бұрын
@@SpektreJVFS I’m afraid planting 1 acre of soy beans really isn’t going to benefit anything. Even fenced off yeah they will grow up but once the fence is taken down they will be short lived. I’ve fenced many acres of beans in the past. It works. But unless you are planting a minimum of 3-5 acres of means it’s kinda pointless.
@SpektreJVFS9 ай бұрын
Do you think they will be mowed down even if the fence is left up for a couple of months?
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors9 ай бұрын
@SpektreJVFS I believe so yes. What is the idea of planting them?
