Gosh yes. You have nailed a thing that's really bothered me seeing some of my extended family do well meaning but awful parenting. Very well explained. Thank you, Nicholeen. Oh ha! And I just remembered my own kids got to the point where they refused to be around these relatives because they found it uncomfortable to listen to them talking like this. (They're wonderful parents, but there's just something a bit off about this kind of thing, using shaming and holding onto past behaviours as a deliberate parenting technique. We did actually all fall out about it for a while, as my partner tackled his sister and tried to help her see what she was doing to her son. He is a young adult now and in a mess and we think they all need help to heal all the mutual hurt feelings. It is sad to see and we feel powerless and can only pray.

Do you teach parents how to govern themselves? I find it really challenging to help my children when I’m having such a hard time doing it for myself. A lot of personal growth needs to happen. Thank you for these videos, they’re really helpful. 🙏🏽

Absolutely! We can't teach our children to govern themselves if we can't govern ourselves! If you're looking for a good place to start, I would start with the Calm Parenting Toolkit. teachingselfgovernment.com/calm-parenting-toolkit/ Here are a few links that could be helpful for you and your family: teachingselfgovernment.com/store/parenting-a-house-united/ teachingselfgovernment.com/store/childrens-books-bundle/ teachingselfgovernment.com/tsg-parenting-course/ Some videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3a5iomdjM59qsU&pp=ygUVbmljaG9sZWVuIHBlY2sgcnVsZW9m kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGfEYmCAf72isJY I hope these help!
