A good temporary solution to work under the current system. However, the real solution needs to be Preply allowing us to choose a window and actually having that work
@BisayangKano3 жыл бұрын
you have less control that way to be honest. The way its set up now, you get the full control of schedules and you have infinite windows. The opposite scenario is you want students to book last minute and they cant. With the way its set up, you can allow or block at any time with any lead time u wish.

I highly agree with you what we need is a change in their policy students can not reschedule or book new lessons 24 hours prior but teacher can so that will force students to properly communicate with their teachers before deciding to change their time specifically when time difference is a factor

@@BisayangKano with all do respect my fellow Preply teacher that means the teachers have to take unnecessary steps to acutely have control over their lessons ,teachers should have control over this matter or at least they should give us 24 hour window to notice any change in our schedule , change of policy that what we need

@@amalk4496 in this case "unnecessary is a subjective perspective." We have ALL the control in the way the system is set up right now. Our schedules are open for booking. That is actually the agreement we made with preply. Even our very own availability (standing) is based on our availability. So the way the system is set up right now allows all tutors to have the maximum availability. If you want less, you simply block the time that you cant afford. That is wonderful control to have as a tutor to be honest. Any other system of blocking would only take available time from our overall algo score which affects our overall standings. The way it is set up right now, we have the maximum control of who books, when... as well as the full availability to maximize that algo which is responsible for bringing trial students. So you CAN have a 24-hour window If you choose to use it that way. It takes 2 seconds to block the time. Most tutors the day before their lessons look to see what their next day will pan out to be, a great time to block that time you can't afford, and that's it. It actually cant be a better system to be honest.

@@BisayangKano but if I blocked the time that means I might’ve been available and missed a chance of getting paid and for a student to have a lesson all what I want and people who agree with me is enough notice to organized our schedule and our lessons we have similar policy in Preply when it comes to trial lesson you can sit the time when a student can notify you of a trial before booking but of course teachers can schedule lessons as they please anytime,what we want is for the same policy to apply ,to all trial or non trial current students ,its a simple change in their system that will avoid us any kind of inconvenience for the teachers to have enough notification and for the student not to waist their time attending a lesson were the teachers didn’t notice and sometimes the website itself freezes and doesn’t send notifications so to avoid all this notification or system fail issue and all of us can have a great educational experience in Preply a policy change is necessary
