I was going to say, flip the front rad support around so you can mount the rad out the front with the fans inside. then make a custom support to mount the res on the lowest fan, but you will still be blocking the air flow to the bottom fan by a small amount. Not sure how you feel about that blockage, but that would be a small compromise you could do, to make your system fill with pipes and look really nice! Also with the mountings of the rad on front up top, you will not have to worry about air in your system.

I recently built my first watercooled pc, all hardtubes. it was a lot of work, expecially because I got 2 broken radiators (one which the threading was not intact so that leaked and the second one had an inner leak, I wouldve expected more of a 100$+ rad from alphacool, decided to go for a phobya, works like a charm) mbut it was a lot of fun and was inspired by you, I even got the cougar case.

Great video. From what I see, definately mount it to the back wall. Maybe to give it a unique look: space the tube of the reservoir to the middle of the radiator, and then with two soft curves let the tubes run around the reservoir on each side to the respective components. Just an idea here.
@20GeneStarwind207 жыл бұрын
Hey Jay why dont you get a different braket like a Singularity Computers res mount then you can agust the hight of the res to where it would fit? www.performance-pcs.com/singularity-computers-reservoir-mount-core-single-v3-green.html
@terryblanchard49297 жыл бұрын
Fantastic case Jay. I would have had reservoir behind air intake fan at front and radiator at bottom, as intake will reduce temperature of reservoir even more rather than increasing temp of device and liquid it if it were behind a radiator. Look forward to final build.
@paulziegler35587 жыл бұрын
Look up singularity computers ethereal pump mounts man daniel has run into this very problem many times...also hardware labs makes a couple different cross flow rads that could possibly make your tubing routing a bit easier.
@bradleyhoselton43257 жыл бұрын
Why not get an additional 360 bracket for the horizontal run? Then on the horizontal run sandwich the bracket with the fans hidden on the bottom allowing for more room for the pump mounted on the vertical. Could also go as far as sandwiching both horizontal and vertical radiators making for much more room.
@TheJjjoj7 жыл бұрын
Check out Singularity Computers' Reservoir Mounts and possibly their pump/res combos. They are worth it. If you don't want that, you can always use Barrow or Bitspower mounting mechanisms. There is just no reason to complain or get even mildly frustrated about fit when using what is probably the worst reservoir mount on the market.
@JoeJacksonJr7 жыл бұрын
Jay put your 360 bracket back on bottom, take the two 120 brackets and put them back up. Space them out for 240 rad and to the inside above the bottom 360 rad. Then put the side 360 rad on the brackets. That will give you clearance to put the res lower in to the case. It may look funny towards the outside though.. But it would be unique..

MaTtRoSiTy I would consider custom water cooling if heat distribution is incorporated into design, especially in either builds in warmer climates, or builds that have more restrictive airflow, using it with consistent operation that need consistent temperature. Since I live in more temperate climates, I use aircooling to take the most advantage of the cool or winter air.

Flow rate = 360 L/hour, typical of actual usage custom loop. That puts about 100 mL/sec through any part of the loop. One liter in ten seconds. It would take about 400 watts of thermal energy to realize a 1 degree C rise in coolant flowing at this rate. [4.18 watts to raise 1 mL of water one degree C] A 1080 class 2x SLI, at full loading, might see a 1.5 degree C rise in coolant temps. A high core count CPU can throw down 300 or so watts, so that adds almost a degree. My point? If your loop has a 5+ degree rise in coolant temps on any one block, check your pump! There is no way any one device can throw enough heat to negatively affect 'downstream' devices. If your ultra-atomic whizz-bang is a hot-house flower, and can only run at some narrow range of temps, buy something better!
