Comments for the readers here. First off, thanks to Adam for this great vid. I recommend that you guys follow Adam's video EXACTLY, including using DropBox. I had the same experience as @Jess B down the thread three weeks. I couldn't get it to work with Google Drive. Additionally, I tried OneDrive, and during setup, it said that to use any third party transfer feature into OneDrive, you would have to pay OneDrive $15, so I abandoned the implementation and went with DropBox, which I had absolutely ZERO problems with the setup. Worked great from the start with NO tweaks when following Adam's instructions to the letter. By the way, DropBox free is only 2GB(which Adam stated), but my site's files fit into 50MB, with the DB just a small fraction of that, so for me at least, keeping a 2-backups policy for files, and 14-backups for DB(as Adam suggested), is WAY UNDER the 2GB free DropBox limit. My site is small, but has 8 pages, lots of images, and runs elementor, but no video as yet. Maybe these comments can give you guys a heads-up for planning if you choose to go with Updrafts. By the way, I haven't had any missed Updrafts backups yet.

Glad it's working fine for you now. Yes with this plug-in when you go to update a plug-in or a theme or word press itself it will give you the option to create a backup before you do the update. It's usually a good idea. I should've covered that in. the video.

Yeah, more WP goodies, lol! This is great for professional practices. The automated save and delete feature looks awesome. Do you have videos or courses on the business end of word-press? Basically tips for getting clients and generating value for different industries. It would be great to know which things make money the fastest for the client. Like, for example the client might request a fancy slider but a wishlist on a shopping cart might be a better/more important choice because it would allow for sales and promotions to be better targeted to customer demand.

Adam, love your videos, especially b/c I'm busy trying to set up my own blog on wordpress. I'm following your advice and installing backup plugins and security plugins, etc, prior to creating the design and content of the website. Just an FYI, concerning installing Updraftplus. I believe it would work BEST with Dropbox. However, I did try get the Updraftplus plugin to work with Google drive last night and got an error message, after authentication. So I deactivated and uninstalled the plugin. However, when reinstalled the plugin today and did a manual backup to Google Drive, I received a success message from the plugin and the files were present on my Google Drive. That said, if I have any future problems with Updraftplus backing up to Google Drive, I'll plan to move to Dropbox. Seems the authentication process to Google Drive is NOT so complicated now.

I also recommend this plugin, it's a dream to work with, and the backup files are so easy to manage. Esspecially when comparing to "Dropbox Backup And Restore", which brings a terrible mess of files, slows your site significantly and doesn't offer to download backup files locally. Also, it is worth pointing out, that if you are moving your site to another domain, the Migrator-extension for Updraft makes that task a walk in the park. :-)

I talked a little bit about it at the end. And I talked about some of it during the video as well. However I didn't show you restoring from. a clean installation. Essentially the backups going to create five separate files as I explained in the. video. What you. would do is install a fresh copy of WordPress and then install the plug-in. Then you would click on the restore tab and there was that link there that I talked about where you can upload your backup files. All you would do is upload those five files that make up one backup and then click on restore. Maybe I'll make a video on that or in six months I'll remake this video and include that in it.
