I use this plugin for staging 3. after staging I change some database and code in my site 4. in between the changes, a user registered on my live site. 5. Then I live my staging site into the live site. Can the user data store in my database as it is OR it replaces?

Thanks you so much. My webhost does not provide staging environment and this tool will do the trick. My webhost actually told me do do a manual back up to my computer-which will take several hours, then re-upload them a subdomain folder-which will take even more time. I didn't even bother because I knew it would give me even more trouble with login and stuff like that. Once again, Thanks.

I am really happy I took your (well-explained) advice. The theme I thought I liked turned out to be a disaster. Not only to I not like it in general, but the conversion process was a bit messy, and it would have taken a fair amount of work to get it back to my color scheme, nav, font, etc. I did light modifications on my current theme and am pretty happy.

Hi, I just tried this. I had to change links from http to https and wanted to do it with the Better Search Replace plugin. I wanted to try it on a staging site first and did as you said in your video. However, the changes I made on my Staging site were actually also made on my normal site. I really was on the staging site, it said "staging" in the URL and the menue bar was orange. What did I do wrong?

looks like a great plugin. One question though? I have a customer who has a live site and wants to install an new theme and make updates over a period of time. Should i install WP staging, install the new theme on it, edit it and then move it over to the live site with "all-in-on-wp-migration" or use the pro version of WP staging? Just need some food for thought here. I do not have access to any ftp or backend credentials. so staging is probably the only option i see

Why not use All-in-One WP Migration to transfer your live site to a new/non-public/staging site, then do your development and transfer the result back the same way, provided that the content on the live site hasn't changed in the meantime?

hi thx for this helpful vide. you told i dont push changes from staging to main site, so i have a question: i have a site with 1000 pages and posts indexed in googe, competit in seo (thx God) and most of them have so many comment, but i have to change my theme for some important reason , i want to choose astra but it does not recognize my theme codes so i have to redesign all those pages... site myst be online and with direct theme changing it goes down. i have to clone my site and redesin and change pages then push back new design and things to this one that all viewer and google bots viewing now. what is the best and more easy way to do this hard work? does this wp staging plugin good for me?

If you were adding a new feature to your website could you explain how you would make a development environment and when you are done pushing back to your production site? Also, while you are in the middle of a development, how do you handle something like a plugin update? Make updates both to your production and your development sites? In other words, do I have to keep both sites in sync until I'm ready to go to production with my new development? Hope I'm making sense.

We want to go to an entirely new theme for our company. Our current site is a patchwork nightmare and just needs a complete overhaul. New theme, complete 301 redirects for all the straggler links and then flesh out the site by taking content we want from the old site to the new. How do you recommend doing this?
