hey, I'm new to modding and I'm trying to backup the game. I backup my game and everything is good, but I don't know how to play my backuped game. I bought the game on steam and I have the backup folder on the SSD that I have the original GTA 5 game. So I don't know how to play my backup because when I go to the backup folder I double click GTA5 and then it gives me an error saying "Please run Grand Theft Auto V using Rockstar Games Launcher", so I double click GTAVLauncher in my folder and it opens Rockstar games launcher and on the play button it says "Play on steam", so I press the button and I play my original GTA 5 while I want to play my backup, so what should I do?

For people that dont want to wait months to backup gta. I recommend you copy all of the files without the "GTA V" not "GTA V Launcher" but only the "GTA V" that tooks 60gb

ye its good but one thing its like instaling a gta 5 again but faster and yes it takes your storage so if gta 5 has 90gb then your backup is is like instaling the gta5 again so 90+90=180gb taken.

It depends on how often you mod. If you're adding 5-10 things a week I would back it up and delete the old backup to save space.

Are you using steam to this? Rockstar and steam has an option to save files on the cloud so you'll always be able to play from where you left off.

You would have to read the redux manual and undo all the steps it tells you to do since you're removing everything. You can also delete everything in the directory and install a clean copy.
