The best thing you can do to "keep" a man is to be okay with the possibility of him leaving. You have to have your own identity and realize that your life is not over if you're single.

@GG T87 It's not wrong either to have a goal to share your life with someone and to raise a family. You have to be honest with yourself. You have to give clear intentions to the universe what you want because the unoverse has your back. If you in your heart want to get married but you verbalize your independent and don't need no man, you are sending conflicting messages out into the universe. and when your messages are confusing, you will get confusing results. If a chick says I am on a mission to find a husband, that is fine too, it's what you genuinely want.

It's ok to have masculine energy when you want to get stuff done, but in a relationship that masculine energy will cause issues. You have to learn to not bring that masculine energy into a relationship. I personally am also feminine at times, I am kind compassionate loving nuturing. But I am also a entrepreneur and I have to be 100% in my masculine when I am building and growing my business and I have to dominate my path in life. If I encounter a woman who is masculine, no matter how hot she is I won't get with her.

I’ve had learn to live in masculine energy in order to survive in a world that can be threatening to a woman. On the streets at night, driving alone, a career to secure finances, paying my bills etc. It wasn’t necessarily an informed choice. Yet I hope a mature man will realise that I can help take care of business with him. A great team mate who has lots of femininity too. It’s learning to balance it out. Still learning. This was helpful.
@kathyalex778
@kathyalex778 3 жыл бұрын
I completely understand what you mean by needing masculinity to survive when you’re by yourself in a dangerous area or if you generally don’t have anyone to protect yourself. That is what masculinity is about: calculating, finding solutions, protecting oneself and others - the only thing is of course men are more masculine and are bigger so they are better at being masculine than us. It would be lovely to walk down any street and enter any public building without having to watch my back, but I do. I wish you well on your feminine journey. 💕

The best example I can think of is Sarah Connors transition from a cute, waitress on the run in Terminator to her badass development in Terminator 2. The same with Ellen Ripley in Alien to Aliens. They still maintained their femininity in some way though. Mother figures etc. We are living in Covid times. This current world and environment requires strength. I'm studying law rn and have realized that I really have to lean into more masculine energy to stand a chance in my field. It's quite hard for me tbh, it's so competitive, and even though my department has 70% women, the vibe is really agressive. I have cried quite a lot because of it last year, but i'm learning to "toughen up". It sucks that people with a more "feminine energy", or at least a softer/ more shy personality, are not taken as seriously or are always push overs in the workplace. One of my male friends feels exactly the same, he is gay with a softer energy, and we have both seriously considered if law was really for us even though we love to study it so much. It's about balance like you said

I have attended some public court hearings and I can guarantee you I have seen women and men who were feminine and kinder in the courtroom, both judges and lawyers. It heavily depends on the case and whether or not you are the one cross examining. If you have a case on murder, prostitution, some form of trafficking, it’s probably most appropriate to be serious and emotionless. Although, like I mentioned, not everyone is masculine in law. What is most important is knowing how to control your emotions and knowing when to not take things personally. You can be sweet, just not overly emotional. Good luck and God bless

Breeny, this is the first time I've "met" you on KZbin. I operate about 80% in my masculine. Mostly because I'm anxious, depressed, heartbroken and trying to guard and protect myself. I've also been struggling with feeling like I might be Transgender because my masculine energy is so high. I need to soften into my feminine I'm just scared of being rejected and abused or taken advantage of. I think what I'll try is a simple trick of using feminine colours in my wardrobe to express my loving, deep side. I have this pink/red lipstick that really encourages me to be open. As you said though, I need to not be an over sharer. Between the masculine and feminine I tend to always swing too far in either direction.

It tricks you too be more competitive with everything, even with your boyfriend. So inner work and contemplating on our past deeds is something I have done, to evalue myself and to determine what is difficult and why from the beginning of my story/life. People tag me rude, arrogant and masculine when I let it be know that I don't like that! Loved your balance, boldness and understanding. Thank you!

I have always ignored the part of "getting a man" just because I wanted to get back my femeninity for myself, the ones that i love and the world. I used to be so kind when i was a kid, i loved making present for everyone and cooking for my family, even for my cousins that didnt like me. Kids are just beautiful clean creautures, so kind, so full of love, so innocent and with pure intentions, and then the world is in charge of shaping their hearts. For me femeninity is about being kind with myself first, providing everything i need, is about listen to my friends and family, to not keep resentment in my heart, to not yell but ask for something, to explain my feeling in a calmer way, for myself because i deserve peace and love. Thank u breanny for the video, i will show it to my sister. 💕🌱🌸

This is exactly what I needed to hear...I find that a lot of the time I am doing something for my future husband first and THEN God, which I know is not the way to go! A lot of these femininity channels put that in my head (unintentionally), so I've been limiting how much I consume of that content.

Love this video. It's no surprise that a lot of the things you said, the control, micro-managing, overreacting, I recognize in my mother, I feel like it's a sign of overcompensating too, which also alienates you from yourself and makes you feel inauthentic. I've had to work through those things myself too, to unlearn that behavior (and still do at times) and realize that I'm better than that, because my life is worth more than wasting my energy on that behavior, we're all worth so much more growth, than trying to force others to be 'you' so you don't have to. If anyone can relate, and as you mentioned in the video, I feel like I tend to have a more feminine father, and a masculine, emotionally-blocked yet overdramatic/overcontroling mother, so I had to be more masculine around my father, and more feminine around my mother to not trigger them and to balance it out, depending on at what home I was (divorced parents). And yet, therefore starting to feel more masculine with my mom too, to not have to have it affect me that much or loose myself in her emotions. I can say, these times, living on my own and nearing my thirties, it's been one hell of a rollercoaster, hurting and eye-opening and beautiful at the same time, learning now that it's safe for me to get in touch again with my own femininity, embracing me being the woman and the person that I am, without having to fearfully relate being feminine to my mother's need for validation, her co-dependence, and her need to be seen as feminine, as the woman in the house, and yet also the one in control, the man. You kind of feel used in a way, as a child, as a teenager. Therapy definitely helps to have a mirror showing you the reality of this and being able to set your boundaries again in a safe space and to free yourself from this. Feel balanced withing yourself. Only a few months ago did I finally realize: Hey, I can be a woman, I don't have to be a girl anymore, because: I AM a woman. I AM an adult. Without needing to being afraid to intimidate my mother - or grandmother & grandfather on that side of the family at that - to trigger her jealously or anything. It's kind of like you realize you've been holding your growth in, embracing yourself, because others would be triggered/confronted with their fears and passivity to grow and embrace themselves, so they try to keep you small, pull you down, undermine your growing, until you realize that YOU are the only one who decides wether you want to grow and embrace and love yourself and live your life or not. No one can decide that for you, so no one can choose in your place either. No one can stop you from growing or authenticity when you decide to grow and become authentic, and embrace both your masculine and feminine based on, as you said Breeny, what you NEED yourself, based on you being you and encouraging yourself to be yourself (and with the help of loving people around you), not on what (you think/feel) others want/need in order for them to love you. It's not worth it. You're worth more, everything.

I feel like if you’re a woman in today’s day and age, and you’ve been exposed to modern society, you’ve been subconsciously programmed to be masculine. So unless you live under a rock and have completely isolated yourself from modern society and the modern media you NEED more time in your feminine because you already spend quite enough time in the masculine. I think the femininity movement is beautiful and EXTREMELY important, especially for woc specifically black because they have been forced into their masculinity and have been more hurt than other groups of women. Balancing the energies will come natural once you’ve mastered the feminine energy. The problem is a lot of women are completely out of touch with their feminine energy so yes it needs to be highlighted, it needs to be studied and it needs Extra attention, time and effort to cultivate. I don’t think it’s fair to even suggest to black women to not be feminine because they’re already so programmed to be masculine so I’m actually not a fan of this video. Let the feminine movement shine and blossom and grow and have eyes on it because it is necessary.

How about let people be who they are. How about don’t say it’s not feminine and therefore bad to stand up for yourself, demand your equal treatment. I’m tired of the narrative that being feminine is about doing nothing, sitting there and taking disrespect, lying down and giving up yourself for a man of all things. The sooner people realize femininity and masculinity are made up and have changed and varied throughout time and cultures, have meant different things, the better. All humans can have any human trait, it is not relegated to a certain gender.

Thank you Breeny, I knew I had this problem and thought I wasn't feminine enough, it turns out I just couldn't balance it cause I did not know how. I have been hurt in the past and my masculine energy has always been like a way for me to protect myself it got to a point I knew I was showing too much of it and didn't know how to work on myself to tone down the masculinity and bring out more of my feminine side. I did a lot of reflection and work on myself and it was harrdddd but worth it! I've met someone and I see myself more feminine than before, i'm loving it myself, its going really really well! You are ALL RIGHT on this one, i've taken your words and i'm moving with it SIS!

I definitely am tapped more into my masculine energy. You were absolutely right when you said it comes from being let down, (which has happened more often than not), past hurt (which has me on guard) or simply just dealing with people who did not respect my time or concerns. I'm working on changing the way I think and more, to bring more balance to my life so that when I'm blessed with the man God has for me, I'll be ready for him.

Sooo very true and interesting to hear from someone who puts this all into words. When I met my now husband, I was pretty independent and stand offish and had masculine habits. With time, his masculinity brought out the feminity in me and I didn’t have to think about it, it just came out and we both balance each other. It’s amazing.

This video is so refreshing! Having trust issues, being angry all the time - I feel incredibly unbalanced. But after watching a lot of these feminine help videos, it just felt really expensive and time consuming. And that's not me. Energy, I feel, is just that - energy - it has nothing to do with the outside (though the outside is important.) For someone that's lived with self-loathing and depression, absolutely, the outside needs work too but, some of the stuff in those videos just felt too much for me. And then I decided: I'll just take what works for me and drop the rest. Plus: it's incredibly comforting to know that feminine energy around a masculine man will come easier and more naturally. And that balance is key.

This is something more than a few women need to hear. Most men who deal with these women will only stay because we know we can get the sex when we time it just right. Men have to stop rewarding them with attention. Every woman like that has a string of men who perform for them, reinforcing to the woman that her behavior is "strong &sexy" instead of "strong like Hulk". Great video! 10 out of 10! I hope they're listening!

Here's my take on this..I think the epitome of femininity or owning your womanhood is defining what kind of woman you are. I understand that traits such as assertiveness or dominance are traditionally 'Male' traits. But can't we just have traits and not associate them a specific gender.

Sis, it’s hard being feminine while living where I’m from in Chicago. If you do, you find yourself not really fitting in with the rest of the women because you’re too feminine OR instead of being feminine you’re busy in survival mode instead of feeling graceful, comfortable and protected.

This video is so important Breeny. A lot of the femininity channels I've been seeing are pushing this narrative that being a feminine woman is about being a pretty little damsel in distress 100% of the time but I've realised that it'll be difficult to move further in life with such an attitude. There has to be a BALANCE of these energies and there is certainly a time and a place. A bit of both is needed depending on the situation. Great video!
