how long is done? i am cooking goat in the oven for the first time. Do you use foil and apple sauce?
@RoundhouseRanchBBQ4 жыл бұрын
I cook it until it's tender. Just stick a probe in it and if it feels like putting a price in warm butter, you're good. Never used apple sauce, but I bet that would be tasty! I do use foil to wrap it with

Wow, that looked delicious. Good call with wrapping it, I should have wrapped mine, I usually do. My goat was also home grown, a friend raises one every year, he slaughters it and brings it to me and I butcher it. I take a leg quarter as payment. Great job on that goat. Thumbs up! I shared this on my Facebook page, it can be seen here: facebook.com/gooutsideandcook/

Y 170? Shouldn't it be 200?
@RoundhouseRanchBBQ6 жыл бұрын
I did 170° because I wanted to slice this meat. I would've gone up to 200 if I wanted to shred or pull it apart
@dont_talk2me6 жыл бұрын
@@RoundhouseRanchBBQ thank you. Have you tried it at 140 range? Which one is better you reckon?
@RoundhouseRanchBBQ6 жыл бұрын
I actually have not tried it that low... That would prolly leave it medium in the middle, which might actually be delicious!
