@Sayin wat a high value man, just like a high value woman, knows that only true commitment will lead to a happy and healthy family. But him constantly searching for a "replacement" speaks only about his deep insecurities and unworthiness.
@FollowYourLife2 жыл бұрын
@Sayin wat well, seems that you know it all and I have not the intention to alter your decision. After all it's your life and only you decide what works best for you and what not. In such a crazy world with so many broken values it's not that easy to find the Mr./Mrs. Right, although not impossible. It takes a lot of dating of course (not sleeping around) to understand if a person has all the values and traits you've mentioned. Men have options, women have options. It's a world of choices. And for sure if you want a hight value woman you should be a high value man. And, for what I know, most of the people have narcissistic traits nowadays (the world is messed up), which makes it almost impossible to create a stable relationship, without the fear of being used, judged, criticized, neglected, abused and so on. But if you have a very good radar at picking up these patterns in someone early on then you're lucky to leave an unhealthy situation.

A high value man is someone who gets his shit together no matter what challenging situation he’s currently in, and who is in touch with his emotions. In my opinion it could even be a man who lost everything due to circumstances but the way he will navigate in those circumstances that will make him a high value man.

Bingo! And dead right comment. A provider and a protector will always have things going on, outlets, ways of making back money or earning a living. Energy is always around them, even if a financial risk doesn't bear fruit. The trick is identifying that man. Provision and protection: that is the literal floor of what a man MUST provide. But women make a terrible mistake when they imagine that requires a great deal of money. Many low-paid men do everything to support their families, to protect them, to be there for them. High value does not necessarily equal high paid.

I see value in a man who says he's going to do something and does it. The values and standards that he demonstrates are also what I observe and consider. I find it attractive that a man is accomplished in whatever personal or professional area he endeavors. It's important to me how he treats other people, whether family, friends or strangers, and animals. Know that his goals and desires in a relationship are geared towards a committed relationship, meaning marriage.

Hey Mat! This was great stuff. Thank you. I am doing all except the one at the end. Appreciating him for where he is at now. When I first met the guy I am seeing now we met on a dating site. we texted for a week and then He called and we hit it off. His pics were different from him in real life. He wasn't really being deceptive just didn't post any that he usually looks like. He showed up scruffy and much more obese than his pics. I am a petite 5'2 lady and this guy is about 6'2 and maybe 300 lbs. When we met he discussed his eating issues and said he's changing his bad ways. He walking and says he cutting out sugars. But his eating is not healthy. I have mentioned to him about his need to eat healthy to be healthy. So why do I continue to see him? He's the kindest man I have ever met. He is very generous and helpful. He's attentive. He goes for walks every day but he's eating really unhealthy. We've been dating a month and I really like him but I cant handle his eating habits or his obesity. What should I do? I really like him and have not found anyone that makes me feel like he does in 16 years!! I am 68.
@raularmas3172 жыл бұрын
I think eating disorders are extremely tough to overcome because they usually start so early in life so the conditioning of putting fork to mouth is really well-engraved in our minds by the time we are adults. Please be patient with your guy and partially re-enforce his losing weight by being a little more affectionate when he hits a previously set weight loss target. Were I you I would use whatever influence I had with him to suggest that he first deal with/focus on slowing down his consumption of whatever food he eats without worrying about expanding an exercise routine. Priority 2. Suggest he try slowing down his eating by listening to music with a slow tempo while he eats and by writing down everything he eats day by day. Anything to slow the process of consumption and to make him mindful of who is in charge of his body's physical condition. If he hasn't got a full length mirror you might want to provide one for his bathroom door so he can't avoid seeing himself as he truly is (as an adult) sans clothes.

Mat, a question regarding #2: would it be considered "chasing" for a woman to ask a man to hang out as friends (no pressure, no expectations)? Edit to add: and yes, the woman is romantically interested in the guy
@MultiAwsomeman123452 жыл бұрын
A high value man does what he says he's going to do, is reliable and honest, can communicate openly without, does not put pressure oor hint on a woman to have sex in the initial dating stage. I met a man that I felt attracted and he mentioned that he was dating other wonmen, which is kind of obvious until both men and women decide to be exclusive....later I found out that he was not contacting me cause he said he was consufed and said "he was spending time with them" I replied this " I understand dating variious women can be confusing for you, I think it will be more complicated later on when you try to build emotional attachment with them" and this made him react and came back to me and said he wanted to see me cause among those women I stood up, then we went on a 2nd date, were close, but no sex yet, he was all over then 3rd date was great ! I felt both have amazing connection and attraction! I asked him a bit more about past relationships and share mine which are not negative, I think was a mistake to talk about cause that might have trigger him in thinking that I wanted to be exclusive I just wanted to find more about him etc. We both went on seperate trip for 12 days, after that he gosted me with no explanation. I will not chase him! I am sure he's going out with other women and is not man enough to let me know that he's not interested of needs space. Now....the fact that he mentioned from the 1st date that he will be dating other women at the same time, ( he supposely was honest about it ) somehow this made him in his mind a higher value than me, wondering how I could have best addressed that then. I would really appreciate feedback or an opinion about this narcisist that likes to use women at his disposal. I did set boundaries about being intimate in the early stages and he respected that, goes to make me better that I didn't

How do I project felt security? By having well-established boundaries that I am willing to defend. By seeking, finding, and practicing my own ways of becoming a fulfilled human being. By internalizing my own locus of control through any number of ways that put me in a mental state of flow. Repeatedly practicing this type of meditation will eventually lead me to replace unhealthy codependency with a healthier interdependent mindset with the discipline to know when to assert myself and when to hold back out of respect for other people's right to choose.

Matt already discussed this. He told that don't immediately lash off these people. Sometimes chemistry might take a while to be built. Many people in relationships have shared they didn't initially felt the chemistry with their partners. Some may say they felt it right away, some took a while. So try to give it off some time, do a few dates and spend more time together before completely rejecting the idea of this potential relationship. You might miss the opportunity on a great partner with you evaluating everything early on. Also try to consider how they make you feel.
@Gingerkd12 жыл бұрын
@@polishmeow8298 how long are suppose to wait? There is only so much time that you can spend with someone that you’re not at all attracted to before you start dreading it!
@hrichards95622 жыл бұрын
@@polishmeow8298 But you assume that the other person is going to be willing to just go on all these dates too, on the off chance it might become un-platonic one day. That’s sadly just not the reality of modern dating. I met both my ex boyfriends at work, because it’s an environment where you’re both forced to be around each other for an extended time, so it allowed for that chemistry to build. I don’t “immediately lash off” people, but dating apps and other forms of modern dating invariably require immediate chemistry or the simple truth is you won’t be asked on a second date, much less a third, a fourth or a fifth.

I have watched so many videos on dating and relationships on KZbin but always seemed to cringe after hearing the rhetoric, outrageous advice, perspectives or unrealistic viewpoint they espoused. I felt so much peace while watching this one so I just subscribed. Also want to say that I have been questioning whether I was a high value woman and watching numerous videos on how to reach that goal when in fact (not bragging) I literally have every attribute that you described and always have all throughout my dating life. What made me question myself was all the videos on here that focus on high value women and women in general needing to have near perfect physical attributes or a laundry list of other things to bring to the table to meet a man especially a high value one. They were all about what women need to do to keep and capture a man and how women need to constantly cater to or change themselves to meet his standards and preferences to avoid him exploring other options. Those videos began to make me feel like I would never measure up when in fact your description of the high value woman is who I already am and how I view myself as a woman. Thank you!

The problem I see with too-early s*x or intimacy is one of basic trust which "should be" earned over time. If you value yourself you "should be willing" to set the standard or boundary for entry into an act that could potentially bring a new life into the world very high because that child needs both a consistently respectful, giving, and caring Mom and Dad to protect, provide, and lead it by sound modeling of affectionate caring, respectful looking after, generous giving of resources to raise a fully healthy and high-functioning mature adult.

I am curious, my ex was a successful professional, no materialistic, and during our relationship I didn’t see she looked for attention. She displayed most of the traits described in this video. Except one. She is beautiful and she is naturally a flirtatious woman and according to her past she was (is) promiscuous. When she was single she dated several guys at the same time and opened her legs easily. After 4 months together I found her a text message flittering with another guy and I broke up immediately. Does this only promiscuous/flirting trait in a single woman can make her a low value woman?

There's something in her past made her promiscuous. Or her value is attached to how many men she can bed. People like her rarely change.
