Except everyone once in a while they get some loser guest, like the wannabe "baby driver" kid who can't drive worth a crap. Dude lost control of a whopping 180hp BRZ going straight at a stoplight, also admitted to wearing oakley sunglasses (puke) while doing 100mph+ in a residential zone, getting punched in the face for it and then tattling and calling the cops on the guy. He talked like he wanted to be Ed Bolian but only if he was a huge douchebag and had a personality that made you want to bully the crap out of him. Had mommy and daddy buy him 5 cars by the time he was 21 yet was preaching "be happy with where you're at".. Yet he'd chane cars every time he realized he couldnt fckn drive. I couldn't stand that kid..

Thanks for sharing with us, Ed. Enjoyed listing to your strategies. Pointed out a lot of good points when buying or selling a car. I found myself in a similar situation with someone a few weeks ago. Was looking at a Lotus Exige. He listed it for $30,000 with 80k miles on it. But CarFax was showing me the body had 149,000 miles on it but the engine only had 80k miles. That was a red flag. Then he had some scuffs in the front as most Lotus' have. The one part of the door handle was cracked on the inside. There were a few things wrong. I made an offer for $25,000 at fair trade value and he got pretty pissed with me. Told me to stop wasting his time and let me have it. But I am glad I didn't buy it come to think of it. Something didn't seem right when he wasn't up front with how many miles were on the body. I had to dig that info out of the seller. I did point out the issues with the car, how much it would cost to fix but he still got upset when I "Low-balled" him in which I thought was a fair value for what that car had. But there are other cars out there. I just told him to have a nice day and move on because I know there were will be more deals. Love your videos. How does one get a chance to come onto the channel and tell some stories?

dapz325 I’m no car sales man but I successfully flipped a few cars in my time. Organising a Pre purchase inspection scares them because they might find something and it takes a considerable amount of time to drop the car in and some people ask the owner to pay for the ppi , the type of people you are going to get a deal with are people who want the car gone with at least trouble as possible, this means you go in and say you will be giving them no trouble but this and this needs work so I can only pay you so much . You won’t find everything wrong but if you are reasonably mechanically minded you will pick up on most obvious problems that will inhibit you when reselling the car. I delt with mostly very low value cars so most of my money was made just cleaning and posting a good description & photos when reselling. Often making $500 to $800 on a car

@@byronjeffries9754 I've just got into the flipping game and in my area ppl don't have a lot of money so I buy cheaper cars I like buying ones that the motor is trash or it needs a transmission. I make a good profit on them as I'm a mechanic by trade so I save on what is usually the most expensive part of an automotive repair, the labor.

Everything Ed says here is gold. My last car I bought for $2k about 6 years ago using just these types of tactics, fixed it up, and drove it trouble free since. Now I bought another and will give the previous one to my sister. If you know what you are doing you can take the risks and take the profits associated with those measured risks. No perfect car will ever be a great deal. Always buy one with problems.

People always ask me how I find good such good deals, my advice is you have to look like it's your job, you should be checking the marketplaces 2 or 3 times a day, because deals don't last, and 2 you will rarely find exactly what you're looking for, but you can usually find something good while you're looking.

I love watching these videos and seeing the advice you have to offer, as well with that I'm only an hour north of ATL so if you ever need a hand with anything, you know how to get ahold of me! Anyhow, I am astonished by how well you were able to explain things that I almost didn't realize I even did while buying a car (something that I do for a living, I might add). Borderline "consoling" the seller, explaining why you're so much easier to deal with, and making on-the-spot cash offers is 60% of the reason I'm able to buy vehicles at the price I do.. seeing that collected and explained its extremely impressive, and shows that you're very, very good at what you do. I've subscribed and hope to see more content soon.

The only ever car ive bought and sold in the past 5 years, ive made money on. 1982 Dodge D150 318 stepside. My neighbor was selling it due to health issues that needed the funding and not being able to solve its issues. I bought it for 2k. Was estatic as i always wanted it. Fixed the valve cover leaks, new plugs and wires, replaced the charging system, and fix the front end with new shocks as they were still the orginials. Put new door seals on, to stop a small leak. The only actual issue was the truck ran, but didnt hold its charge. With the old school tricks, i found it to be a bundle mess right down the line of positive terminal. Fix that, best truck ive ever known besides the carb needing to be rebuilt. Drove it for a while, learned i was deathly afraid of it for a few reasons. Found the rusted through floor pans, doctored them up but same time cleaned the interior up. Fixed a couple other issues and decided to sell it asi didnt have the time or space anymore. Sold it for 5k with only 500 into it. Not bad for that old truck. Spent 2500 total from buying to repairs. Made 2500 off it. Told the person buying all the issues i fixed and told him the huge issues that would give him problems. Sorta miss it that old rig with its other problems. But the paint looked spectacular after i cleaned it up despite the dents. But i enjoyed the dents as it gave it character. I did do this stuff at a dealer. I was kicked off the property... Not my fault the vin pulled an ebay add for 5k and they tried selling it for 35k with no repairs.

Ed puts the fear of the gods into the sellers. Dont let his nice guy persona on here fool ya. Ed's a shark. I respect that very much. Great tips from Sensei Ed!

I have to say, even the video is 2 years old, that it had helped me to buy my dream car this year for 1500CZK (64$ at the time). Nissan Primera P11 GT, needs bit of a rust work and paint, but the car otherwise 100% ok. The owner had spend around 80k CZK in last two years (3400$). Just showing that I am willing to take the risk of the car and showing the knowledge, I bought it basically for nothing. Even when there were people willing to buy it for the maintenance costs :) So, thank you Ed for your advises you give to people :)

Even after an avowal, detailed like the one here, there seemingly persists a distinctive difference between a shrewd negotiator and the shrewd Bolianator. I bet 10 to one there are a lot more stories up the pipeline. Thanks so far, Mr Ed.

Appreciate the wisdom... I have a 20,000k warehouse in west Atl. We are shifting from custom signs to custom cars and performance shop. We also have shop space for rent if you or know someone that has a project they just need the space.
