I got to GM with Moira and obviously play her really well to have gotten there. Solo queued no help from any teams etc. but man everyone in GM makes it such a miserable experience to pick Moira. As soon as you pick her the complaints start to roll in and the community is so toxic about it. I actually wish Blizz would give her some random ass utility ability so people would stop complaining

I permanently muted the text chat since OW2 came out and its so much better. Im only Gold but obviously if im doing any damage i get shit for not healing - so now I just have peace.

communication in OW can be helpful but it certainly causes problems too that are not only related to hating Moira. You're probably better off just muting all chat

Hey Arx, for someone who likes damage moira play style, why do you like playing lifeweaver as your secondary hero, rather than kiriko, lucio etc who have similar dps/flank playstyle to moira. or bap/ illari who can get big dmg and heals similar to moira?

I'm not Arx and no where near as good lol but I main Moira and Lifeweaver as my secondary. I have no idea why but I do like what u can do with the platform in terms of canceling out other teams ults and being able to pull your team mates out of tough situations really comes in clutch

If you press jump and fade at the same time she will leap like that, or if you press jump right before your fade ends she will also do the leap.

Call me crazy but I don't want to rank up. I thoroughly enjoy wrecking players in metal ranks. Whenever I derank I love it. The developers call it a punishment, I call it more fun. I play way too many games to devote all my time to just one game. The less sweat the better for me.

How the hell do you fade jump that high? Do you have to press the jump right at the end to get an extra boost? Whenever I try it just seems to give a very slight boost to my jump

Point your camera at the ground right when you hit the fade button and it launches you in the air.

1400hrs in moira i have been quite proud of my play style and able to balance heal and clean up but dayum i got so much to learn from your fade jumps i dont utilise it enough. i do it to basic high grounds but i didnt know you can go that high!

Yes, at first I wasn't sure if it hit him, then after the fade I wanted to make sure he had a heal-over-time applied to him so that he would start receiving healing the moment it wore off. You should get into the habit of healing players near the end of anti with Moira for this reason.

tracer struggles to get to high ground as easily as moira does and cannot contest them as effectively, especially if you need to clear height with 2 or 3 people on it

You're a support character though, tracer is dps

Because you can't swap to Tracer on support. This means you could provide the same strengths as a Tracer, while freeing up your dps to play other heroes. For example, think of the benefits of being able to run a Reaper, an Ashe and a Tracer at the same time. Playing Moira the way I play her shifts your team from 1-2-2 comps to something more like, 1-2.5-1.5. Just remember, just because the game forces one tank two dpd two supports, doesn't mean this is the optimal composition for all scenarios. Many heroes by design shift into other roles. Reaper / Mei for example can act as off-tanks and less like dps. Some tanks lean closer to dps than others. Some supports lean closer to dps than others. Moira just happens to have the option to act more like a flanker or tank at times, and there's definitely benefits to this instead of believing that each role is hard locked into a single job. That's the low rank mentality.
