Thank you for this video of the words and thoughts of Paramahansa Yogananda. I have only recently come into awareness of this great man and his work while here on earth. About 2 months ago i got his book "Autobiography Of A Yogi". I learned that he came to my country, America in 1920 and stayed 32 years. I wish I had been able to meet him in life but I am grateful that he wrote his book and other essays to help us through this life. Again, thank you for this video. And thank you India, for sending Paramahansa Yogananda and also Swami Vivekananda to America and the western world.

Miki Gross Both Swami Vivekananda and Paramahamsa Yogananda are masters who have transcended the material world and merged with the all pervading supreme spirit. Their teachings and guidance are available to all who are willing to open up and recieve it. Meditate, that is key to open a world of opportunities. Meditate on them, on their teachings and you will see a great change come over you.

He said something very important. Keep focus on the brow, on the spot between but slightly above the eyes. That is the soul organ of perception that produces clarity and intuition.. But only if you operate in truthfulness.. inner truthfulness, as well as outer truthfulness. We fool ourselves as much as others.

This is a very opulent auspicious blessing! I love Yogananda!!! But Shivababyogi was my guru. He gave me the name Dhyananda. My wish is to serve my guru by bringing more people to meditation. That's why I'm moving away from playing the blues, jazz, and folk music, to playing ambient music (like the kind that's playing in this beautiful video). It's my wish to play my ambient meditation music in yoga studios, meditation centers, and health centers in my local area (St Louis). Thank you SO much for this meditation message. I have done meditation for over 35 years by myself, but it is so much more powerful with your music and messages!!! May all beings meditate, reach Samadhi, and find peace.

It takes a incredibly serene, holistic, open mind,be absolutely transparent,honest and sincere person who can transfer themselves into a higher level of consciousness to overcome the challenges and obstacles and obstructions onto a supreme world stage within your psychological prescence of both spiritual and physical abilities to reach a peak in which your soul grasps all of your fears and transports your senses to a worldly calm that inspires and encapsulates your personality for you and those who seek tranquility in a prescence surrounding a clear picture of what we desire and ultimately share amongst family and friends,we only have one life no rehearsal so live it, love it, embrace it and you will leave a mark for others to see and your destiny and memory will pave the way for new life , opportunity, hope, courage, wisdom and thanks for opening a door for good health , peace,laughter and above all LOVE

Long long ago, I did not have any pain and struggle. Struggle is a horrible word for me. I cannot understand a truly person who loves God needs to struggle in life. Now I am learning to calm down myself when happiness comes. Worldly happiness is also dangerous for spirituality. I do not need any laughing yoga which is so foolish for me, but some friend invited me to come. I feel I do not need it. I love this video. It has depthness as spiritual guide.
@nirguna48266 жыл бұрын
Hustle Loy , Thanks for your kind advice from your spiritual seeking. Actually I do not know very well what "Sunnah Islam" mean. I love Islam thro reading Quran (continuously for several years) and knowing the teaching, life, words and deeds of Prophet Muhammad, not because of any Muslims or its any organization. The Islamic faith is only me and Allah, nothing else. I love Vedanta also, as it points to the truth that makes people go deeper and deeper and be One with God, the Supreme, the Ultimate, which is exactly the concept of Allah. One of the reason I love Islamic faith because its concept of God is the greatest, only Vedanta can describe well and aim at. God is neither male nor female, neither mother nor father, neither son nor daughter, they are all human relationship which Quran tells us very clearly it is not the best way to preceive God, and Vedanta tells this truth also. Adi Shankara told us very clearly this truth in His Atma Shaktam. So the teaching of Vedanta only points to Islamic faith, as I understand. I have also studied christianity for many years. I think the true teaching of Jesus is only in the gospel of Thomas, not in the Bible, the four gospels which already mixed with truth, falsehood and lies all together. But christian church neglect the gospel of Thomas. And I do think that without the knowledge of Vedanta, no one can understand the teaching of Jesus, but worship Him as God (and know nothing about Jesus and God) which is not the original teaching of Jesus Himself. What people know about Jesus is only mercy which Buddhism know better and can teach in a more detailed way how to become merciful to mankind. I cannot find anything unique in Jesus that He becomes the son of God for us to worship. Only people without the deepest seeking cannot forsake all these human relationships. If we are not the body, how can God has the body of mother or father? That is not great enough for me even from my tiny human mind. For me Jesus is the same as all the truly saints from Allah. They are all not the sons or daughters of God. In Hindu culture, I have also seen and experienced the danger of worshipping Human as God. Some shameless, greedy and cunning people who handle the knowledge so well that they can cheat people to worship him or her as God even their dirty deeds are exposed after his or her death but still people worship them as God. The main problem is people will take all these fake people's karma and can never purify themselves. So to choose the right person as a Guru is very important. Who know this saint is true or fake? Only Allah knows the best. If people can worship Jesus, why not Buddha, or any other saints? So we choose what we like. But to worship Allah is the safest and cannot be wrong. That is why I think the Islamic faith is very important and necessary for mankind for people to know there is only One God, no creations can be equal to the Creator. By the grace of God, we have Quran directly revealed from God. That light I will never give up but I also truly know that without the knowledge, spiritual practice and discipline of Vedanta, no one can be near God, to have Self-realization or God-realization.
@nirguna48266 жыл бұрын
Hustle Loy ,I have read many scriptures over and over again, not only Bible. I fully know that Quran is purely the words of Our Lord, give good tidings and warning to people. This world, this life is a testing ground for all of us. We all have the final judgement. All things shall return to Our Lord. Allah is truth! Satan is liar!
@nirguna48266 жыл бұрын
Hustle Loy , I feel so sad and disappointed the western culture and religion never accept Quran but accept Bible. They have tried every means to defy the Quran for 1400 years. From the very early years, when the west translated the Quran, they must add very evil and bad commentary and footnotes on Quran, otherwise, they could not publish the translation. Only in the later years when there were some rational, serious and objective scholars who studied and translated Quran as it should be. There was only one Chinese scholar who translated Quran from Arabic into Chinese in the modern era during the Cultural Revolution in China. He had written the footnote about Quran but not yet finished and died because of the persecution from the youth communists. So the Quran in Chinese has only the verses without footnote and explanation even up to now. I cannot see anything wrong about Quran as many westerners tried their best to defy it, while I find many unbearable falsehood and lies in the Bible. I was a Christian during teenager, so I know this religion too well. Very shameful, never respect the truth. You have mentioned sufism. It was originated from Prophet Muhammad. He taught the earliest Muslims who were very poor but purely seeking God (Allah) and desired nothing about this world. So they were taught to be union with Allah. If you think Sufism is good, how can you deny Quran? There was a sufi female saint I love very much. She was Rabia Adawiya. She was famous for her tremendous love to Allah. Quran is for the purified soul, while Bible is for the non-believers, hypocrites and evil-doers. You do not believe satan, jinn and angels, while all the religions mention them with different names only. Many people do not believe God but saints experience God. So we can only seek by ourselves, whether I am deep or not deep in Vedanta, what does it matter?
@jamiehujan98556 жыл бұрын
Hustle Loy, When someone believes there is such a thing as Satan to oppose God, they are deeply in the grasp of duality of this world. We can only say what we need to say. We cannot change a person's mind as such. Leave it to time and self reflection. It will do its job. I believe Catherine Lam is capable of doing her duty of "deep meditation" and seeing through such a duality with enough time and reflection. We are all here on a journey. We may erect a sign saying "Be aware this is incomplete and will waste your time" but we should not sit next to the sign and make people realize. Hope both of you have a nice day! Christine Lam, I am so glad you have found the Quran; coming from Christianity it is a big plus in my book. I have experienced and explored the Quran as well. However, I did so by questioning its teaching with logic, patience and experience. It is wholly incomplete. You do not have to take my word for it. But I urge you to look deeper with your utmost attention. Keep asking questions, keep exploring. "We are what we identify with". However, we should remain detached from all things while staying fully immersed. Read scriptures, and practice but do not identify with one "religion" or another. Be detached, stay curious. Have a nice one!
@nirguna48266 жыл бұрын
Dev Singh , I admire your words polite enough to tell people what you think about and try to encourage people, not aiming to knock people down. I have no attachment to whether duality or non-duality. It is not the first time people who think they are well-knowledged in Vedanta hold the truth only. They continue to focus by saying that I am a low level person, rather than focus on the issue only. I focus on the issue only. I will never be interested about people's level high or low. They tell me I am very low level, so what! The One who seek the union with Allah has thrown away all the fame and honour in this world and all the heavens. Actually the concept of Allah is the highest than all the Vedanta knowledge but I am not intending to persuade anyone to accept my view, so no need to attack me about this as it seems that I am going to harm the whole universe as Mr Loy tried his best. Allah knows the best everyone's heart. Even inside Vedanta, there have been a lot of viewpoints. People should not think that their viewpoint is the only true. I never ask people to adjust my level, but they continue to tell me I am very low. So what? Allah knows the best! Nice to know you, Dev Singh. My name is Catherine Fatimah, not Christine.

The greatness of Hinduism is the absence of any kind of proselytisation.. If you note most of the sayings of realised masters and Rishis, they use the neutral 'God' or brahman instead of any particular God.. Same applies to the Upanishads.. It is probably one of the few truly universal faiths

He always said that human love is transient. It is the love for the divine that enables one to elevate towards the path of enlightenment and super consciousness. Whatever it is, nothing should own you. When you are giving give unreservedly and unhesitatingly to the divine. It is the pure heart and true love that brings one in communion with the divine and grants liberation. When you are struck in a pattern, the cycle of births and deaths will continue. When you go beyond the mind, you are transformed and it is your self enquiry that will take you on the discovery of truth. Truth is eternal. It is love. It is the way to the divine.

According to Karma siddhanta one has to reap what one sows. Freewill leads to actions and words, they in turn make one’s own karma. This accrued karma must be resolved in order to reach the goal of mukti or moksha. If karma is not resolved then one’s Atman takes up another body (janma) and thus starts the new life cycle all over. Thus janma -> death -> janma cycle continues until moksha is attained. Hindu God Brahman has no form, no gender or attributes. The deities we see are prati rupams only, representations of the Brahman; they serve as conduits so that we can perform puja and sadhana (meditation).God is everywhere and everything is in It as per Advaita (non-dualism) philosophy. Whereas Dvaita (dualism ) philosophy says God is separate from the sristi (creation or cosmos). Hinduism has not discriminated people of other faiths; unlike some faiths which condemn others to eternal hell, Hinduism applies its karma siddhanta to all sentient beings without any exception. Hinduism says 'Sarvejano Sukhinobhavantu' (may all live happily). There is no original sin, no Satan and no permanent hell or heaven. Almighty will not create something he can not control. Supreme being will not remain punitive with the eternal hell fire punishment. Because almighty is very loving and compassionate
