I just got into a relationship recently and these are true in my season singleness it wasn't until I started value my relationship with the Lord that I found myself with my current girlfriend who has tendency to point me to Christ and love that she shows it's so deeper than my previous relationships and I believe I might put a ring on her finger someday 😁

One verse I’m trying to put into practice use Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” ‭‭ When you realize that you already have everything you need, the day you accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. I believe regardless of whether or not God gives you that significant other, you’ll be content. That’s not to say God won’t bless you with that other, but if you’re looking for peace or satisfaction in (for my sisters in Christ) a man or (for my brothers in Christ) a women, then you’re in a sense building your house on sinking sand (read Matthew 22-27) and are (whether you realize it or not) practicing idolatry. A quote I take from this video is “You find contentment with who God wants you to be with, once you find contentment in who you are in God” but if you don’t mind I’d like to edit that a little and say “You find contentment with who God wants you to be with, once you’re content with having a relationship with God yourself.” I say this because like you were saying we’re never really content because we are always wanting something that seems better than what we have now. Sometimes I have to meditate on the fact that I am a child of God. That’s hard to wrap my head around but if we can get that through our head, then we’ll realize that we already have everything we need, finding a significant other, is just another cherry on top.
