Seth Green is legitimately one of the few straight actors who can play gay without being offensively stereotypical. This is so crazy authentic.
@chuckdixon33983 жыл бұрын
That's a little stereotypical, though. I mean, when you think of gay guys, it's very close to the way he performed.

He's playing the character...if you've seen the interviews with the real micheal alig you wouldn't think he was such a bad actor. I thought he was over acting at first too but I watched the interviews and he does a really good job. He captured just HOW MUCH of a character michael actually was/is.
@Wolfsheim235 ай бұрын
That is so true! Just lookup any of Michael's appearances on Talk Shows and anything in the movie is way way toned down compared to the Real thing. They were Obnoxious! I remember Michael in person too. He came through Dallas with his Entourage hitting all our raves and I used to throw raves at the time, and you just could never forget The Club Kids. They were like Killer Clowns from Outer Space. They stood out everywhere they went. Michael met his GF too at Canton Street Warehouse in Dallas back in the 90s
@cwjames94052 ай бұрын
Yea, i heard that MC spoke with alig in prison and took notes on his mannerisms and was actually toning it down at 1st but the director and other people behind the movie wanted him to be more extravagant with the role or in this case, more Fabulous.Either way i really enjoyed both green and MC. the movie and soundtrack are great. Still havnt read the book though

I did like the movie ,, but as someone who was part of the "club kid" scene in Sydney Aust in late 89's and all through the 9o's & a tad into the naughty's.. this movie TOTALLY romanticized the crap out of the scene .. BUT I will say that there were WONDERFUL people & wonderful times, but there was a lot of darkness & death. Being in a family of 12-40 people is an amazing experience but there is always a bad apple or 2 or 3 or ,, you get my drift. So I have affection for the movie & was very excited waiting for it to come out & it gave me nostalgia. It was all MUCH grubbier .. rubbish everywhere back in those days. By 6-7am the streets were just garbage EVERYWHERE, McDonalds & kebab wrapper, needles, condoms, money, drugs even .. just a wasteland of the night before. ... and finally James was even more fabulous than portrayed ... oh I luff him so much. It's amazing how many of us did make it out alive & disease free for the extra lucky ones. James is certainly one of them :) xxx Ps: yes ths is a great scene in the movie :))
