The constant ERS adjustments drive me insane... it ruins the F1 games for me.. Lando Norris (a current real F1 driver just in case you dont know) said it him self while streaming the game that the constant adjustments is unrealistic and is stupid and in a real car is automatic for the most part. Why is it like this? this system codemasters seem to love is god awfull

There are shortcuts you can set up for them. But yea it's really annoying, especially at a track like Singapore or Japan where you're always busy steering and can't constantly adjust the thing.

Realistically speaking, if you look at the graph for torque/rpm, towards the end you do actually have less power output as you see the line going a bit down. Considering usually one would switch gears 40 times maybe in a lap (around that), makes a difference

Working your foot work will make you faster. Breaking and accelerating. You have got to be right on the limit with accelerating and breaking easy enough to not lockup but hard enough to stop. Its all about the footwork

So only use rich fuel mode and higher ERS levels when going for an overtake, otherwise engine overheats and you lose speed. Otherwise it's very annoying to keep toying with fuel mixture, checking temperature and ERS level every corner.

100% means both wheels spin at same time vs 50% means that typically the outside rear wheel will turn less than the inside rear tire on a turn. 50% is possibly the idea that in 2019 so it gives you more car rotation since the cars are understeery this year.

Sounds like someone needs to remind Codemasters of a few things: like how an MGU-H actually works how much power the MGU-K provides and how much difference there actually is when you reduce the range to 5 simplified choices how little the modes change in real life racing per lap.

Im not the best player but I used to be better then every player in my rank on F1 2018 and now im slower then a couple other players just because of my exit speed. Im losing alot of time in a lap. These cars are way more pushy, so on exit you cant really slam the gas as fast as you could on 18. Let it coast and ease into the gas. When in the corner dont use the brakes.

set up depends on your driving style, this guy just copies the top leader boards setups and "explains" them. I suggest you play around with it yourself...see what feels best for you and go from there.

Difference should be that the best potential laptime of no assists is at least 1,5 seconds to 4 seconds faster to assists, else there is no reason to run no assists as it would be far too convenient to slam down the throttle and brake pedals instead of putting time and effort in to master no assists.

Fuel and ers are difficult on the pad cuz one cant steer and change the settings its just impossible, using auto for ers is almost quicker. Especially for me, not having to focus on ers helps with wheelspin and lock ups. At Monaco, is worth a second easily

Once you’ve mastered a track and ERS. It pretty much becomes muscle memory. Granted, I use automatic gears so it’s probably impossible switching gears and ERS and drive at the same time

You both need to invest $200 in a wheel and setup💯 your experience with F1 will grow even more. So rewarding on the wheel. Flipping through ERS and fuel. Is learned in over 2 weeks if you put at least 3 hours a day in.

I’m fast on a pad even more so in the wet but I feel like I could gain time if I got a wheel. It’s what you said on the pad you can try all you like to be smooth but you will never be as smooth with the pad as on the wheel. On pad I have to run some assists just because there’s to much to do on pad

It's a great game! However there's one major letdown for me, a real game breaker wich has been the case for all of codies F1 games. ******SUSPENSION GEOMETRY****** In order to be fast in these games, you have to set your Camber and Toe in a highly unreal position, wich in real life would destroy your tyres in half a lap. In real life Camber, Castor and Toe are together with the Ride Height, Differential, Suspension and Anti-Roll Bars the most important settings whom make or brake a good setup. In order to be fast, the mechanical setup has to be perfect, ballance is key.
