Its not done by a computer, its an engineer who tells what mode you should put on.
@Darxxxide4 жыл бұрын
It's both- an engineer creates a "mode", which is a map of ERS usage based on track and setup. The computer will then determine when and where to deploy those modes based on telemetry data.

it took me 200 hours to be able to drive competitively and manage my ers & fuel. idk if that’s a really long time, or relatively quick, but boy was that a grind. i felt discouraged a good majority of that time, but now i can race competitively and manage everything without bottling it into a wall, super happy w my progress.

I produce music and I have instruments (mostly keyboards and a mini mixer) around my desk and I don't have no more room for a wheel, and I just got the game 2 days ago and I'm super fine playing with a controller. A couple tips I would add: -The energy store recovers energy from the rear axle when you lift off...lifting and coasting can be very effective at recharging your battery! -Over a season, energy store reliability is impacted by the state of charge; try to avoid keeping a bunch of extra charge in your battery when running a career to avoid running extra, or degraded, energy stores later in the season.

I kinda use my ERS as a traction control, depending on how tight the corner is i lower it to get less torque. The instant torque the electric motors give break the tires loose easier than the linear power from the ICE. I am constantly changing it because of that so i dont usually have to worry about my ERS.

Could someone explain the magical system that "converts heat energy from the turbo" into electricity? The answer is no, you can't, because it doesn't. The MGU-H is connected to the turbo shaft. (Or alternatively is a separate finned shaft spun by excess exhaust gasses.) The gasses that turn the turbo *happen to be hot*, but that is entirely incidental. What matters is that they are *moving* (very fast), causing the turbo turn, turning the shaft -- and producing electricity from this spinning shaft -- i.e., the MGU-H converts *kinetic* energy from the turbo shaft, just as the MGU-K converts kinetic energy from the spinning crankshaft. (No, not from the brakes.)
