just wanted to say thank you for this. pre-covid i was used to having a hectic schedule, with my internship and all. then lockdown happened and it was as if i couldn't function any longer. i was so out of it. i couldn't focus during online lectures, i kept putting off reviewing for my exams and just felt so lost. i felt so bad about it that i even guilt-tripped myself into thinking i was only using my mental health as an excuse to be lazy. thankfully, i realized that notion was hella wrong, and that i just want to put myself first so that i could fulfill my tasks knowing i gave it my all. now i'm in that same position again.but, after listening to you, i felt comforted. i was not alone on this. thank you again for this video ♡ i hope we all get through this somehow!

00:00 Is it really okay to not do anything, when in reality there are just too much to do and you just keep procrastinating about it, until it's late and your anxiety level increases?
@sororsapphirus5557
@sororsapphirus5557 3 жыл бұрын
It’s okay to give yourself a day or a segment of the day to not do something guilt-free and vibe but also decide that you are going to start the next day. If after giving yourself adequate rest, you might still not want to do it and that often boils down to discipline or habits and in that case, you need to focus of building habits slowly and train your brain.

i LOVE what you said about quieting your space down because i’ve know i’ve had a problem with consuming two different medias at once for the longest time (just today i was playing music and watching tv) but today i felt almost physically ill and realized how much of a tech break i really need to take. this video was a further sign that i really do need to re evaluate my content consumption/tech habits.

Omg, i am literally going through what you said at the end. I am so chill about things now because i use to stress out and have anxiety about work and the future but now I am calm which to me is a good thing but not towards school because I'm not really getting work done. I think we sometimes need a pinch of stress in a healthy way so we can get work done.

Your end comments hit me so hard. I relate so much to what you were saying about having so much work to do because it's the end of the semester (end of the school year for me) and being in this weird state of chill where you'd normally be stressed. I didn't know that that was what I was feeling until you put it into words. I feel like I'm behind in every subject but I get home from school and just lay in bed and don't get any homework done. And right now I just don't really care. No sense of purpose. And don't really feel me rn. Thank you for helping me understand this and know that someone else has felt this way (even if it was a month ago). I have this feeling that tomorrow will be better and I'm happy and excited. I'm ready to start new habits. :) Also thanks for reading this if you did and if anyone relates god bless u lol. This was just my little journal entry I just needed to get this out there. This made me a new subscriber!!!

thank you for being so open about how things are behind the scenes for any creator! 💛 there is so much value in resting/ chilling out, especially at a time like this. i think it's important to embrace whatever period you're in for what it is to be present in your life & not just be thinking about the future or "what's next". i definitely can see how the 24/7 productive mindset can be toxic & self sabotaging. i know i've had my moments regarding this 😔 but hearing how other people (especially well established creators) go through the same thing feels re-assuring to know that i'm not alone on this. 🦋 sending lots of love to you!! it's been quite rough for us ontarians this past week ❤️

I feel literally the same as you, and it’s a bit comforting knowing that I’m not alone to feel that way. I struggle with procrastination and I can’t bring myself to start my work (mostly the long stuff) but usually I still have that voice in the back of my head who push me through it cause I still want to have great results and everything, to be proud of me. So even if I start late, I got that stressed feeling that make me do it. But lately, idk why, that voice just disappeared. So now there is nothing to push me doing things, i just do don’t them as if it had no consequences, but it does. So yeah I struggle a lot with it and I don’t know why that voice just go away. It feels weird.

I'm going through something very similar. Today I turned 20 years old, and I'm still in the last year of high school (because I moved to Spain and I took 2 years to put myself together to finish my last year). I used to have the best grades and now is going terrible and I'm not even sure what to do. I probably have to repeat the last year of high school. I moved from Latin America to Europe and the education system is totally different and my anxiety and depression are increasing with time. Your videos are amazing and makes me feel more hopeful for my future. Hope you have a lovely day❤️❤️❤️

That last segment is the most relatable thing ever! I used to be super productive, getting all of my work done immediately and enjoying it! But ever since the pandemic and college, I feel like I'm going through the same cycle: 1) Having deadlines but not really caring and having no motivation and then 2) Panicking at the last minute and getting burnt out. It's good to know I'm not the only person going through this! I'm trying my best to regain that motivation from my pre-pandemic life!

I’m in a gap year right now and at this point I don’t really have a lot of work hours and I’m just at home. Usually I can find enough things to do but now I’m just not in it. Felt good to hear that I’m not the only one and that it’s okay! In baby steps I’ll get back to a more motivated mindset, but only if I feel like I can do it 🥰

i totally understand the chill attitude problem, i’ve been experiencing the same thing (just didn’t really know how to word it) - even though i don’t like being stressed and anxious, sometimes i do need it to drive me through things. although all my official exams have been cancelled due to the pandemic, i still have a lot of mini exams and assessments which will determine my final grades (which technically makes my life easier but not really at the same time aha) but because of this floating cloud feeling, i feel like i haven’t been working hard enough and that slowly makes me feel more and more anxious - but i’m sure we’ll all get through it, everything’s not over just yet :)

i've seen a lot videos about his but honestly just don't think what you're gonna do or plan things in your head it'll just waste your time. What i did is i turn off my phone, breath or meditate, calm myself and do my thing that's it. So if you're reading this, put down your phone and do you your thing. There's probably someone out there who has the same dream as you, they're probably doing something and you're not. atleast do something. Now put down your phone.

everything you explained is EVERYTHING i've been feeling and I have the same patterns too and I just want to say I appreciate you and this video and your channel so much. I just have the problem of not doing anything when I know I have so much to do like school work for example. Then because i'm not doing that I end up not wanting to do anything else or stressing about it because I know I have more important things to do and its all just a frustrating cycle and then i'm just doing nothing for a few days or a week straight. Like ik what I need to do and how easy it is to just do it but I don't.

I think speaking to a mental health professional may help you as well, because a lot of what you are struggling with aligns with depression. I hope you find your purpose again soon, and that you take the time and care necessary to nurture yourself mentally, physically and emotionally. Thank you for being so honest, it makes me feel better about being in the same situation. 💕

Sorry for my English. Sometimes I feel really motivated and like I can do everything and study for all day. BUT it goes away and I start procrastinating (maybe get the energy to work). I dunno if it’s okay just to lie down on the bed and search the net for about 3-4 hours. I feel so guilty for this. I also struggle with anorexia because every time I want to stop studying, I start eating and it has become my habit. And for this one I feel even more guilty. I went to the phycologist and she said I should find time for myself and relax sometimes, but I can’t relax for all day, I must become the better side of myself. Otherwise how I will reach my goals. I hope I can finally change my life to the best and realise that there are people who feel like I do. So please let me know if I’m not the only one who hates myself for every time I do nothing and prefer to eat rather than to solve the problems. And make me aware of your ways to be happy.

After all the school works i had to go through, i felt kinda weird that it was all over like its finally now summer. I was so used to the same old routine. Wake up, eat, do school work, eat, do more school work, eat, then go to bed. For 10 months every day. I use to feel so anxious because it was alot of work and a short deadline. I use to squeeze in every free time i had and would be in a furious if anybody would disturb me. Its like it was no tommorrow. I feel so nervous and weirded that its over. its an indescribable feeling, like if i were to mixed anxiety and fear but it comes in waves and differenciates. Its so confusing. School work has literally affected me terribly. I feel so uncomfortable day by day. Im grateful its over but just surprised and hesitate that it is now over.
