Glad I could help! Remember as we talked about in the video they are earned pauses based on the story/circumstance of the text. We don’t want to arbitrarily add in pauses, but rather stay true to the moment that the text gives us 👍🏼👍🏼

What should I give a casting director if I'm auditioning to model? What do they expect if I were to give them picture(s)? How many? What should I do at a modeling audition? Separately, I was glimpsing at Project Casting and I saw a lot of Headshots where some people looked as if they were trying to be sexy, or attractive; not showing their natural selves (it seemed). What is one way to avoid looking like you're faking a personality in a headshot?

They have sent a link for their agent and I’m doing an audition for them in a few weeks around 2-3) Please could I have some tips if you see this? I’m quite nervous as I haven’t done auditions for acting before. Thank you!

What if i was saying it to myself? In a time of disparity. Just as self reassurance. That would be a good way of bringing out heart in some lines. Dont act with fake emotions. Say some lines to youself. Especially if the lines hit home for you. Really helps bring out TRUE emotion. Which is acting, but also reality. That realism, draws in people to watch you.👍👍👍

It really depends on the instructor rather than the location, so there is no clear cut answer. First I’d just start out with whatever it’s within your financial means
@SagunManandhar3 жыл бұрын
Awesome ! BTW, I understand that you create your own context when delivering the dialogue in an audtion , but isn't it given to you in real acts ?
@TheActorsAcademy3 жыл бұрын
Depending on the text, you will either get a lot of context for your audition or very little. More often than not, it’s relatively little (for confidentiality purposes). That means that it falls onto our job to make sense of the text. Some things will be given to us, while others won’t. We need to bring our own unique perspective to the work that we put out 👍🏼

Have you got a video on how to steal the show, so to speak? You know how you see some actors in a show who seem to just "fill the role" and say their lines, but there are actors who light up the screen or steal a scene. Actors like Michael J Fox in Back to the Future, for example. ...There must be a fine line between standing out vs the director saying, "Could you please just keep to the lines." :)

If you have age spots it is more difficult and people think you are senile if you pause.

Age spots are not really a cause for this. It really depends how the individual is looking at the other person. There are many individuals with age spots who do not look senile

You have to get an audition for the project, attend a callback, go to a producer session, get approved by all the needed parties to get apart of said project. How do you get these auditions? Either from open call auditions (meaning anyone can submit). Backstage is a platform that people use, as well as Actors Access. With that being said, it’s not easy to submit for these projects, simply because they are not usually listed as open calls (sometimes they are, but not always). More commonly, you will need to have some sort of representation. Either an agent or a manager. They will be the people who can actually submit you for these bigger projects. With that being said, just because they submit you, it doesn’t mean casting will agree to give you the part or even allow you an audition. If casting doesn’t see you potentially fitting the part, they typically won’t bring you in, but in order to have the best potential chance of getting seen by them, you’ll want to have some sort of representation behind you. Hope that helps 👍🏼
