I was fortunate enough to grow up with a great mother and the most valuable lessons she taught me ALL my life are: 1) Honesty. I do lie occasionally, but only if it protects others. An example was when i almost snitched on someone by accident and was asked for a name, but said i didnt remember and just mentioned that we should do something that we then didnt. (Followed by "its my bad, i shouldve insisted we did it") 2) Kindness. Treat EVERYBODY with kindness until they give you multiple reasons not to. Sometimes people give you reasons to be mean by accident. Remain calm and put yourself in their shoes. But if people keep being rude, quit your kindness. 3) Respect. Similar to kindness, everybody has a story to tell, a burden to share and achievements to be proud of. Treat everyone with respect, untill they prove (again, multiple times) that they arent worth the respect. One last thing: apply all of these to yourself aswell. Love yourself, try and respect yourself, be kind to yourself. And if you cant do that wholeheartedly, find reasons to do so. Think hard about it or create a new reason.
