The amazing thing about your long format videos is that they are so detailed and full of "intangibles" that can be translated into kickboxing and in my case into MMA.

Love the video sir, like every piece of content you have created. Hope nothing but health and prosperity for you and your family. Thanks for making this content available for free. I hope i can succeed as a boxer and one day train with you and tell you just how much you have helped me without even knowing my name. I wish i could support you with money but i truly don't have any right now but when i do in the future i will. I don't even have any money to buy gloves i have to use my friend's. I live in India and the boxing scene here is very bad and the coaches are, lets just say not that great. All they want is for us to show up, not challenge anything they say at all, hard spar every day and when we spar just beat the heck out of each other. One of my coach's slogans is that the more you get punched the better you will become. He actively encourages taking punches to the head for free by dropping the hands during sparring and says it will make us tougher. He has no real knowledge of boxing but thankfully i have you (mainly) and some other creators on KZbin and other platforms to guide my journey. I know my chances of becoming a great boxer are slim because of the odds stacked against me but really all i can do is get up and fight another day. Sorry for the rant. May god bless you with a long and happy life

Great work as usual coach. Another competent channel called Boxing life was life lamenting on the lack of fundamentals and the decline on technique. TYSVM for your work and dedication, helping trainees, coaches and the sport more than all the sanctioning bodies put together. 🎉

Great coach ! I really appreciate your efforts of precious logical stuff ( the art of Deception ) rather than fantasy for unpredictability, can you make a video on offensive and defensive range control with depth from beginners to elite level.
@coachKeithKeppnerАй бұрын
Thanks and ooh sounds like something to consider! Can you expand and what areas of that topic would be most beneficial and /or interesting
@MaheshGurjalaАй бұрын
@@coachKeithKeppner Yes coach, offensive range control can help to control exchanges in the pocket , forward pressure, and land punches in all ranges effectively without getting hit. In defensive range control can help to defend & counter all attacks from different ranges and angles. Overall both offensive and defensive range control crucial for fighters to control fight . I want to learn more about Timing in transition between offensive and defensive range control. I'm looking for a well rounded approach & Ability to adopt. I hope this information can help you understand my perception.

@bdlkineticsАй бұрын
everybdy tells you, that punches start on the feet and creating a "kinetic wave / whip" through the body....legs-hips - shoulders arm- fist but if i get you right, than it is actually arm / fist first, and than all of the above ?!??
@coachKeithKeppnerАй бұрын
Great question! Yes for maximum output, your peak power there is a body first and arm second, but through my experience boxing and working with many fighters over the years, the hidden punches that you don't see come are often these and they can have a decent amount of force and great effect of targeted correctly. Again like I say in the vid, if it has some pop and it's hard to see, it's going to be very relevant.

Your hooks go way too far past where the target would be. If you practice throwing punches wrong then you’re going to throw them wrong in a fight… throwing way past your target and damn near turning yourself all the way around is going to leave you wide open for counters. Don’t forget one rule when teaching another.
@coachKeithKeppnerАй бұрын
Thanks for the comment! There is a very good reason why you should twist and throw through the Target and not just to the Target when You shadowbox. Any punch that is thrown hard and missed tends to do this and that is why it's important to not only train your muscles to deal with it but also your balance so that you can recover. These are the methods I have used with All of the fighters I have produced and it has not posed the problem that you state it does.
