I quit Vaping cannabis because it was messing up my lungs and it directly contributed to my psychotic break in September 2022. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 with Mania while in the mental ward and that sobered me up for good. Haven't drank or smoked since. My lungs and sanity are more important.

I remember, when I was younger, that I would always scroll through the comments of a video, and keep the video playing, because of some stupid reason. All I remember is that a video I was watching kinda called me out for scrolling through the comments, and now I don't do it anymore. Sure, I'll occasionally read some comments, but I wouldn't scroll through them while the video played. But, yeah, I'd say that was an addiction that was, thankfully, short lived

I enjoy scrolling through comments, it feels like a break from constantly scrolling through videos. I never have the video playing, though, I always pause it before going into the comments. Firstly because I can't focus on reading when there's a moving video playing in the background, and secondly because I don't like the feeling of the algorithm giving me more of videos like it, and it getting more views.

For those who want to take notes: Step 1: Accept that you're addicted (easiest step, just be cognizant of the fact) Step 2: Find the root cause. What's causing you to be addicted instead of stopping? Step 3: Find a reason to quit, or several reasons, and write them down! If needed, make these reasons your lockscreen as a reminder. Step 4: Replace the bad activity with one or more good activities. Step 4.5: Write down the end goal(s). For instance, if you want to become a doctor, write that down. And also, write down the short term goals that will help you get there. Step 5: You will relapse. But you have to get back up and try again! Do not try to justify relapsing, it's still bad, but you can't be put down by it. You wont succeed in a day, but you have to... Step 6: Keep it pushing. Don't quit, keep going. If this requires someone to help you (accountability) then so be it. Step 6.5: Avoid triggers. This is very important. If you are addicted to vape, throw it away! If you are addicted to TikTok, delete TikTok! If you are addicted to the hub, delete your Homework folder! Step 7: Realize your progress. This is probably one of the most important steps. Equate progress to success. Step 7.5: Don't completely go back to your old habits. If you do, it's back to square one! Make extreme measures if you have to Step 8: Freedom! This may take a while, but you'll get there!
