Thanks, turning on Controller Tilt assist let me beat the red bird on the first try without doing any of the skip jumps on the stones. I was able to climb super fast by just mashing L2/R2 which saved a ton of time

The Stellar Speedway trophies aren't needed for the platinum because they're DLC. You only need the trophies from the base game to get the platinum for Astro Bot

That first rock skip is actually harder to pull (for me at least) than if you time the boost right after the "jump bar" throws you upward and flies left for the banana. Also, you don't actually have to jump on the second rock on the spring to grab the moving monkey, the timing window should be sufficiently wide for you to just grab by a jump and a boost. Otherwise, I just followed your hints and beat the red bird

IMO turning off motion control makes it worse because each time you spam a trigger you have to move the stick that way instead of just tilting. If I just mash the triggers I don’t go up.
