For context: Number 59 Crooked Cook is unaffected by all cards as long as the user only has no other cards on the field. Also one of the shark xyz materials makes it so it can't be desteoyed in battle.

The only way to get him out of the field is to tax him using a kaiju.

@@96Lucas There are other ways such as monsters that you can summon on your opponent side or switch control to them like Silent Wobbly or tokens like Ojama Trio or using the link Saros Eresh Kurnugias (Idk if that game is updated enough though).

@@96Lucas to add to JS-End's point its both that and Astralkuriboh attached to him if either one or both are there, this thing will be invincible completely to all card effects and destruction by battle if Number 59 Crooked Cook runs out of overlay units/xyz materials, he sits there and still of course can conduct battle and all that he is weak to exactly one card which is Sage de Fleur where if that's there his continuous effect will stop applying immediately, chain, Sage/this card/opponents set are all destroyed at the same time while resolving backwards of course he is also weak to standard number weaknesses by the number rule of a number can only be destroyed by another number card being there, of course that only works if the number is on the opponents side also if the deck was built that way

As long Number 59: Crooked cook effect says Unaffected to other card effects while this is only monster on the field and cannot be destroyed by battle. Which is nearly invincible….. However there is a weakness of this Crooked Cook, it says if that Crooked Cook monster only the field, then you should put your monster next to your opponent’s “Crooked Cook” such as “Lava Golem”, “Kaiju Monsters”, “Black Rose Tokens”, or anything that is similar to these Card’s effect. Today I faced the crooked cook and actually figured out another way to beat it. If you have cards that allow you to take cards from your opponents hand and destroy them (like the monarch deck for instance) then you can get rid of the exodia pieces they need right off the bat then just wait till they run out of cards.

I wonder if he was running any Kaiju and Lava Golems, cause I run the Final Countdown/exodia with Crooked cook and I always have those to tribute off your monsters But yeah, best way to deal with cook, Tribute it off, Attack directly (toons), trample and knowing to use effects when they play any card on the field making his unaffected by card effects disappear (If he smart, he will chain his cooked effect to destroy his cards in that same chain to make it go back to be unaffected, but he can only use it twice)

This is one of the better decks because if you cant do piercing damage or kaiju it away ur pretty much beat. Everyone is a meta sheep so this is pretty cool.

Drytron, Tri-Brigade and Eldlich without Kaijus are probably the only decks that get destroyed by this dude in Plat. Dinos have Lost World to turn him off and Dogoran that you can search, Invoked has Purgatrio, Heroes have Anki and Decimator, Dark World OTK can incorporate Gren.

I beat a player that uses this strat and I dont have Kaiju on my deck, it's a Rikka-Aroma deck. I have used resources too much and he was up like 9 cards on the mill battle. But then I realized there was an out and it was the only card that can win. I had to activate and protect my only copy of Blessed Winds (allows to return plants from GY to deck and gain 500 LP for each turn) he panicked when he realized he can't win against that card and he did his best to destroy the only copy of Blessed Winds before my deck can go higher than his. guy used a Feather Duster against me but I had a Droplet on the field ready. Discarded a monster and it was glorious, his Crooked Cook was negated and I OTK'd him. It was prolly the most mind fucking thing I've ever felt in this game since I had to literally look at every option I had. Game lasted like 1.5 hours though

Direct Attack, Kaiju Tribute, Piercing Damage and Burn Damage are how you deal with it. If you dont have a deck that has any of that though then yeah you're out of luck.

Effect veiler or ash the first shark the decks usually running 3 copies of the double summon shark but only one or 2 of the important ones if he never hits the feild or is negates crooked cook is dead besides that their are kaijus and when cooks not on the field kaijus are just 2k beat sticks and extra deck foder for you while they go through the draw plays for exodia

@@Jspokemon10 thats funny because due to the rulings such effects should count as trigger effects as a result of battle and usually the turn player has priority on this as such the negation should activate first before crooked cook's effects can apply chain link 2 wattsquirrel effect activates negating all crooked cook's effects chain link 1 would be crooked cook's immunity but it should have already been negated so i find it strange that it does not work
