HOW TO BEAT SKOLAS IN DESTINY 2!! (Kell's Vengeance Guide)

Something I didn't realize was that the more ether orbs you destroy, the longer your DPS phase is. The DPS phase is Skolas consuming the ether, and either he "consumes his fill" of Dark Ether, or he "comes to his senses" and the DPS phase ends. So you can either have one person dedicated to ether clearing and you can have like a full 30 second phase, or you can just omega-burst him down as a team of three and have a 10 second window or something. Thought that was cool.

My 1st try on Kells Vengeance and my fireteam finder teammates and I had no clue the mechanics of the Skolas fight. I told them in the text box to give me 5 minutes to check Skarrows video for answers. I skimmed through the most important bit and took the info back to my team (Stay close, juggle the buff, buff holder only person that can pick up mote, drop mote in the 1 servitor glowing red). We all got our Exotic ships. Before we left the activity the little text box popped up again and my teammate goes....'Tell Skarrow thanks'....So thanks for the vid Skarrow.

a tip for the second encounter. you kill the guy who drops the 3 balls. you hit 2 generators and then waste the 3rd ball, just throw it at some enemies. kill enemies until they stop spawning. then find where the last 3 generators are in the room. Then kill the guy who drops the 3 balls and everyone grabs a ball and hits a generator pretty much all at one. this gives you the most optimal time to DPS and you gotta hit the 2 bosses hard. then you finish killing all the rest of the enemies. This is the best way cause when you blow the 3rd generator it starts the 2 min timer for killing the bosses but you have to take out all 5 generators first. If you hit the 3rd generator and then take 30 seconds to hit the other 2 to start boss dps then you just wasted 30 seconds of boss dps time and if you dont kill them in 2 min you get wiped.

Past 1/2 health it also spawns 1 bane per wave. It always chills out near the dead servitor in the center.

The new splicer shader from the season pass rewards also has a glow that changes pink/green. it's glow works differently too, on some stuff it will exchange the color of the glow when it switches (like pink-green-pink to green-pink-green)

So am I right here 1 Titan with no back up plans and Thundercrash with Acrius 1 Titan with Helm of Saint 14, Ward of Dawn and Acrius 1 Tether Hunter with Acrius Tether skolas, thundercrash skolas, pop ward of dawn on skolas and then obliterate him with acrius. Is this correct or am I missing something? I have all 3 builds. No back up plans with Thundercrash, Helm of saint 14 with ward of dawn and tether hunter. Just unsure if using the method mentioned above will 1 phase. Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Guys i have a BIG issue with Skollas , pls tell me if it happened to you too , i completed the mission twice and GLITCHED OUT OF THE MAP TWICE, after beating Skollas under his room. Tell me I'm not alone and if there is any solution to avoid or come back to the map , this sht made me waste hours and didn't complete the mission since i couldn't join the final room (with rewards)

To all the people crying about LGGs, I guess I just have great luck? I LFG everything. I don’t have people to actually play with. And I almost always have a great time meeting new people in LFG. I found a group of two guys to do this with. None of us had any idea what we were doing. Took us two hours to complete it. But we had a great time. I LFG raids and dungeons and everything. And even if I don’t have the best team, I usually still have a pretty good time.

Skolas was never, and I mean NEVER, a compelling villian or character, and anyone who disagrees needs to take off their rose-tinted glasses. All you did was chase him a bit in D1 and then run around the room while he slowly meandered about during his boss fight.

The fact Bungie brought him back in the story like it was going to be a big deal and then basically did nothing with him is my issue as they literally just brought him back for the nostalgia bait. Wasted potential due to a terrible story system.
