Even monor things can have weird compounding consequences. Like, imagine if that guy had gotten accidentally spilled a wine on her socks. This first guy Keith gave off so many fucking red flags that he's a serial killer I'm in complete belief that the original script didn't have the Mama thing in it and it was supposed to be a thriller about whether that guy is bad or not, but then the script writer noticed he made it impossible to make the audience believe he's not a murderer that he threw in the 7 foot tall behemoth of a woman to make people forget how poorly set up that was. EDIT: The new scariest thing about this movie how many people apparently don't know how many red flags his behaviour should've given off if you weren't an omniscient viewer that knew he was supposed to be a nice person and just a misdirect. EDITEDIT: Ok, Imma write another comment considering people seem to think that what I presented as an initial script was the actual initial script. It isn't. Him being a fucking creep giving off 50 red flags per minute was completely intended. From other comments and wikipedia and interviews, Keith giving off so many horrific red flags was actually completely intended because apparently his entire behaviour was based on a book on red flags women should watch out for in men the writer read. So yeah, him giving off red flags galore and being a super creep is completely intended, so if you either don't see the red flags or try excusing the red flags, you're basically exactly the problem the book and the screenplay tried to address, lol.

I personally think a suspense thriller where the girl books an Airbnb only to find a (seemingly) cordial guest ending up staying, making the audience question if everything is as it seems with him would be a fun watch. Things start off innocently enough (even perhaps somewhat flirty), but slowly devolving into those red flags starting to show, with (something) forcing them to have to live in the same house/unable to leave. Eventually, the girl finds the secret doorway in the basement, leading to that sketchy cam room, with the guy turning out to actually be the deranged/psychotic owner of the house. I think Bill Skarsgard would do a wonderful job at starring as that friendly and awkward (but harmless) guy, and slowly shift into that deranged serial killer kinda vibe.

Seriously....thats been the prob with horror movies lately ( or always)... They often have deplorable or unrealistically stupid characters that you end up not caring about...or even hoping they die.

Tess deserved everything that happened to her. I believe that was the point, but continuously going through this situation was stupid, especially for people she didn’t know. The whole police situation almost took me out the movie. That being said…. This was probably the most suspenseful / tension filled movie I’ve seen in a while. I was genuinely intrigued where her stupid decisions would get her next in that dark place.
@youtube-kit94502 жыл бұрын
Honestly, it's the one thing about the movie absolutely didn't understand. Why were the 3 protagonists of the movie 1. A person so insanely stupid to ignore literally every single red flag in existence + has zero sense of self preservation 2. A person so comically socially inept that he apparently wasn't a serial killer even though literally everything he did screamed serial killer 3. Just a human garbage pile in every possible way. Like... was I supposed to root for the 7 foot tall mutant crazy woman?

Air dry, or use underpants (gross, yes, but then I can just stuff them in the garbage or a ziplock baggie, then change into another pair from my bag.)
