Want to take the narcissist on at his own game and beat him? Want to harness that super empath aspect inside of you, or perhaps it is time for the empath strikes back? Codependency can wait, it is time for getting one over on the narcissist. You may be a Standard Empath, but this is not a time for standard behaviour. Contagion conschmagion, dump the feelings and respond. HG Tudor tells it how it is.

The only way to ultimately win is to walk away. If you really try to play their game, you lose. If you do something to even the score, you have to walk away (for good) afterwards. They will act like they want you back so badly. All they want is to take you down.

The truth is narcissists arent really playing games with you. They are playing games with themselves. The narcissist is at war with themselves and you are just another tool they are using to fight that war. Life becomes a series of endless, pointless battles where no matter what you do, you cannot do right. Either you are sabotaging the narcissist and ruining their life, or you are incapable of doing anything right and they are so much better than you. You're doing something wrong regardless. The problem is that you are dealing with a person that has no self-esteem or self-worth at all who can only prove they matter by using other people's accomplishments - either by dismissing them, claiming them or victimizing themselves with them. Because narcissists are not capable of regulating their own self-worth and self-esteem, other people are the measuring stick by which they measure their own worth. They either see someone who is better than they are, or someone who is less than they are. This usually depends on how they are feeling about themselves at the time, more than anything else. As with everything, it's all about them and how they are feeling about themselves. They have no way to regulate self-worth or create self-esteem, so the only way they can feel better is by stepping on other people to elevate themselves. They cannot be good unless someone else is bad. They cannot be right unless someone else is wrong. As a result of this constant comparing of themselves to others and using others as a way to measure their own worth, the narcissist is in constant competition with others - and always coming up short. How they react to this depends on the narcissist's personality. Some will accuse others of causing them to fail or holding them back, and others will look for ways they can claim to be better than the other person. Some do both. Some tell lies designed to make them seem on equal footing with the person they feel inferior to. These are all ways of defending against the shame and self-hatred their perceived failures create within them. Other people are mirrors are for the narcissist. Other people reflect all of the narcissist's negative feelings and qualities back to them, causing them to feel shamed and hated. They deny these feelings out of reflex, and as a result they can perceive them as coming from outside themselves, which is why they accuse other people of feeling that way. It's they who feel that way about themselves. Narcissists do not see other people as actual people with their own thoughts, feelings, needs, wants and goals. They view other people only as reflections of themselves. They don't see you. They see a mirror reflecting their own feelings and images back to themselves. The sole purpose that other people have in a narcissist's life is how the narcissist can use that person to make themselves either feel good or feel bad. That's it. The games they seem to be playing with you are really games they are playing with themselves, because the goal or point of the behavior has nothing to do with you. You are just a tool being used to create whatever they are trying to create in themselves. How this manipulative abuse affects you is not considered or even acknowledged. It just doesn't matter. They know you are a person, the same way they know a lamp is a lamp and a cat is a cat. But emotionally there is no understanding, no connection there. The fact that you are a human being is just information with no actual meaning for them. It's a categorization and that's all. All the feelings they seem to have for or about you - both good and bad - are really just projected feelings for or about themselves. You as an individual human being do not exist to the narcissist. You are a container for emotions they cannot handle. They don't love you. They love the way you make them feel. They don't hate you. They hate themselves and need someone to take it out on. You are the stage dressing in the never-ending play they are performing. Contrary to popular belief, you're not the audience. They are their own audience. The performance is for themselves. You are just the prop that makes it more believable. They will manipulate you, arrange you, place you and remove you as the script demands, and not one thought will ever be spared for how this affects you because you are an object with no feelings. Feelings control pathologically narcissistic people. Your feelings are important only because of how they make the narcissist feel. How your feelings make you feel is not important or even considered. It really is an alien way to look at things, and it's often very difficult for people to understand because most people aren't like that. Most of us don't see others as objects. We understand that people have feelings and we care. Narcissists do not. It's just not the way they operate. They have no empathy. The games that seem to be about wearing your self-esteem down or making you seem crazy or hurting you or gaslighting you aren't really about that at all. They are about making the narcissist feel better. The games that seem to be about accusing you or hating you aren't really about that. They are about making the narcissist feel bad. Haven't you ever noticed that none of it really seems to have anything to do with you personally? It's all a bunch of crazy stuff you would never do or never said or that never happened. That's because it's about them and their feelings, not you or anything you are doing. That's why so many people say things like, "I lost a game I never even knew I was playing!" You didn't lose, because you aren't playing. You are not the other player in this tennis match from hell. You are the ball. Everything that pathologically narcissistic people do is for themselves and about themselves. Narcissists aren't really trying to destroy you. How can they be, when you don't exist? They are using you to try to destroy or rebuild themselves. This illustrates how self-centered and self-focused they truly are. They abuse, torture, ruin, devalue and discard as a matter of course. It's personal, sure. To you. It is not personal to the narcissist. The only person they will ever acknowledge is themselves.

Regular people can't deal with these types of people. It's best to run/go no contact. If you have a soul/normal emotions/conscience you will not win. A sociopath or psychopath though will have fun and chew them up like a dog with their favorite chew toy. :) How? Because a sociopath doesn't care and will sit back and relax, maybe even laugh, while the narc cries or screams in pain. Cruel? Maybe. But such is the fact of life.

I’ve been attracting narcissistic men my entire life, due to my father, an evil narcissist himself. Consequently the chaos of a narcissist relationship was just familiar to me. I’ve healed, study for years and now I can easily spot a narcissist. My technique is hard to do but it’s working, what I do is I let them flatter me, compliment me, take me out to fancy places (they all do the same) and I just simply enjoy while knowing it’s all fake. The first moment they use the withdrawn and devaluation techniques they’re blocked and will never hear or see me again. I will be far gone seeing someone else. Currently I have been handling a few narcissist people at the same time, it’s funny how they’re all the same and they’re everywhere. In my case the love bomb phase last from 2 to 4 Weeks until they show their narcissistic personality. Fortunately I have real empath, loving and generous people in my life, I feel peace, joy and happiness more than ever. Self control and studying about narcissistic disorder is the best weapon against narcissist.

Cut off your attention and a part of the narcissist dies. His existence is based on distorted reflections of himself in others. To him, reality must comply with his perception except he hasn’t discovered that he is the one who mis-creates his reality thus needing to correct it over and over again with his control tactics. He is trapped in this closed system. Don’t try to beat him or rescue him. He’s chosen this. Instead face your own codependent reasons for falling into his traps, lies and a false reality.

The problem arises when you cannot walk away … because the narcissist is your boss or president or holds sway over people who will suffer if you do nothing. In this situation, you are morally obligated to do something … not only to help others but to help yourself, too. While it’s normally more appropriate to be assertive and direct, these approaches do not work with the narcissist. If you’re aggressive, they’ll attempt to use that against you as well. Consequently, passive aggressive recruitment and education of all those around you may be the only viable option to reign in the narcissist’s vile behavior.

There is a middle ground - you can't beat the Mid Range Narcissist but if he is fake Emphath so he can be constrained by his facade. A retreat in good order if you will. The Narcissist gets his fuel, but he also reveals his tactics. So the retreat can be planned, and the final break can be complete. Quite apart from that, by your admission, the majority of Narcissists have so little foresight they live for the fuel in the moment. The Mid Range gets smug and careless because they think they are far more clever than they actual are... As for comeuppance there are many forms. The lazy Narcissist who doesn't have secondary appliances will tone done his efforts if the residual benefits are threatened. Revenge is never complete but subtle as concessions are almost inevitable. After all, no Narcissist likes to do his own housework ... So yes, you will never vanquish the Narcissist but you can make his life just a little difficult. Reduced choices may become permanent as your average run of the mill Mid Range is pretty pathetic my their 30s. And more empaths become more sensitive to a disturbance in the Force ...

Nothing is more rediculous than the transparent and self diluted narc. Most narcs operate and react in predictable patterns, and yet are so often oblivious to how obvious their facades are to those who have encountered and learned about the narcissistic narrative. This type of narcissistic decernment holds especially true for the educated and experienced empath. It's as if the majority of narcs operate from the same playbook, and yet act as if they've somehow come up with some new and inventive tactics. Because of their false sense of superiority, the narc is seldom aware of their own transparency. For an experienced and aware empath, there's nothing more putrid than the low functioning narcissist that projects themselves as a genius level manipulator. It's bad enough to be a narcissist, but it's even worse to not even be good at it! Narcissism operates on a spectrum, and for those narcs who exist on the lower end, there's no need in beating them at their own game. Simply give them the right bait and enough rope and they'll practically hang themselves with little effort on your part. Most narcs hate no-contact, but exposing the narc's simple mindedness and transparency before you go no-contact absolutely does add insult to their injuries.

Yes, no contact is always the way, otherwise it is just petty drama all the time. But if you have to encounter them in contact I still think there is a way to beat the Narc. To be in complete control of myself. So that it is tough to get a reaction. Because when the Narc throws an (emotional) knife and I decide that it doesn't hurt me ,because I know there is a mentally ill person in front of me, the knife turns around and hurts the narc. Because this "Knife" is so loaded with an intention to hit, it will. It will either hit the target or return to the sender. The Narc is active because he/she needs other people's energy and the energy is only released by the reaction. So the ultimate war technique here is to starve them by doing it the Jedi type of way. Fight without fighting. They need the reaction desperately but just acting like you don't care will not work. These people can read others. You really need to distract yourself. Lets say there is an Outside event and the Narc does everything in their power to get your attention. Engage in an interesting conversation that makes you forget what is going on around you. Focus is key here. Lets say you see them on the street from a far. Put your headphones on and focus on the music. Find a point where you can Focus your Eyes on. If you passed them: Don't look back. That's what they are waiting for. Simply focus on anything other then them. If they force themselves into a conversation you are having with another, leave but make it seem like it is just a coincidence. And again: Don't turn around. Look at your phone or whatever but focus completely on it. Especially when they are close. They will observe you. Check them out from a far an plan your way out with a big UNINTENDED middle finger. Let them ponder if you have seen them or not. Be sure that they will think about you and never make the mistake of an attempt to check if they watch you. You need to block them even on an energetic level. That means that you can not allow Yourself to think about them. Thoughts are energy and time is rare. This is how you beat them when you have to be at an Event or Party where you can move freely. Non-reaction is key.

That they don't feel is not true. They feel plenty, just not how normal people do. They care about their view of themselves, for example. Point out constantly and continuously how their crazy ideas are crazy and eventually they'll have to get rid of you. Attack their weak and artificial self-esteem and they'll have to get rid of you. That's how you win. Once you know what you are dealing with you have all the power. You know their weaknesses. Go straight for them. A rattlesnake is easily beaten by a mongoose, an animal that's cool, calm, and collected up until he meats a rattlesnake. Does it take energy? Yes, lots of it. Most people just don't have enough. That's fine. But some of us are volcanoes with a pipe that goes straight into the Earth's core. We CAN fight forever, if need be. In my case, my narc gave up. He thinks he won. Lol... And that's fine. I'm the one who's free. He is trapped in his own hell.

I have done things that really piss him off, I remembered when I was being devalued we was out for lunch we drove separately but he wanted me to drive back to his house. I followed behind for a while and when I was being him at the stop light it turn green he drove off and I turn left and went home, he noticed I wasn't being and I'm telling you he blew up my phone and curse and yelled demanding I turn back. It felt great when you do the opposite of what they want and it came naturally to do so. I really can beat him at his own gave.but no contact as being working great I don't even want to hear from him.

I've listened to much of your work. I've found it very informative in dealing with the narcissist. I have also come to realise that though I'm primarily Empath, there is in me a very real Narcissist too, forming a sizeable chunk of my essence/personality. This narcissistic aspect of myself does keep the foolhardy aspect of Empath in check to some degree and it does need to be reined in occasionally.

HG Tudor you are the Master Puppeteer! Indeed, I was forced to learn defensive manipulation 20 years ago(now, I'm 40). When I manipulated her/them was just for them to understand that I know they play a game and also to make them believe/perceive that I can manipulate too. Indeed, when I manipulate, I do not feel joy, happiness. I feel nothing. I see manipulation as immature behavior! I am not interested in winning something or beating someone( this is a narccisistic perspective). I want them to stop or be stopped. You, Narc God, tell us that they will never stop. It is in their nature. But they can be stopped! You teach us so well! Thank you for being!

I beat the Greater!! It can be done! I've watched my sibling play his games, devalue and use people my whole life. I was the scapegoat I moved to UK and 20 yrs later came back. He upped the stakes when parent died. I watched I kept track and I played stupid, I played weak. Gave sibling enough rope and he fucked up (underestimated a super empath) then I made my move! I (metaphorically) beat him to a bleeding mushy pulp. It can be done, play stupid, but don't miss a trick, keep your eye on the balll and when the time is right strike , strike fast and hard and go for the juggler , you get one chance to go super nova use it well. I was terrified but it had to be done. Sure it was an epic smear campaign, I lost HIS family but I don't care. So my advice, play stupid but be very smart, make your escape plan and execute when the window opens then run like hell and never ever look back! My surviving 85 year old parent would be dead by now if I hadn't got her out. It's been 4 years of strict NO CONTACT!!

This is the only time I respectfully disagree with your conclusions. I can and have successfully manipulated the narc, and continue to do so. It's chess. If you can think a number of moves ahead, it's not difficult. If you can guide them into your desired outcome, and make sure they believe it was their idea, they feel like they're in control, and have no clue they're being played. You just have to be a good actor (since the narc can sense insincerity), and be willing to hold your nose and use third-party acquaintances to act as informational middlemen. I view it as an advanced acting lesson. No problems so far... knock on wood...

From experience you, Empath or normal person WIN when you go No Contact immediately. Forty years ago dated a lawyer narc and after him an Entrepreneur both varying degrees of Narc. NOW, both have fizzled and did so a/b 10 to 15 years ago. Lawyer, this side of having his license revoked, fat, balding, ANGRY, both now washed up, laughing stocks. The E who used to be gorgeous is now flailing, old looking even though he's only 62. He smells of not bathing and his business just filed for bankruptcy. Go NO CONTACT and then just sit back. Smile.

Man, you're top tier with your discussions and explanations. It's fascinating that you are saying it's absolute.... that narcissists can't be "beaten" at manipulation. I prefer to view things not as being beaten or beating anyone.... but, maybe that's why, there's not a logical way for an "empathetic person" (can't say I'm an empath or anything specific)... to go against a person whose instinct is wired for manipulation. It's strange though, how empaths have narcissistic traits. Maybe the only way to manifest comeuppance against a narcissist, are.... well, things I wouldn't do. But, yeah, I wouldn't be able to go head to head vs. a narcissist 24/7. I'm sorry that you're.... stuck with manipulation, man. I mean, you're at an elite level, so there's that. But, damn. In a sense, flat out.... it IS absolute.... you're influencing/manipulating everyone who puts money in your coffers.

Let me tell you you can win IF you know from the beginning what you are dealing with. Then use those narc tactics plus empathic traits and you got two strong weapons. A narc only has one. I know. These battles will cause harm and I have some wounds and scars but finally I won against my malignant sister, my mother and my exhusband in every way. I appreciate HG but he is just a narcissist and a psychopath and we all are limited by what our brain enables us to.

The only way to beat a narcissist is by beating them at the spot as they try to humiliate you or whatever antic they use, not weeks later or months, years. If you do you will lose a lot, your joy, peace of mind, maybe even self, and they will delight in that. And if you do beat them at the spot, they will most likely seek revenge. If you did not beat them at the spot, just keep pushing forward, hopefully you surpass them in life w/ success one day and they notice that they couldn’t stop you.

I somewhat disagree… I have beaten a few narcs, by knowing what they were and anticipating their behaviours and then acting as if they were getting what they wanted from me to then delivering them their heads on a platter. I do no contact eventually , but if they come for me, because they seek fuel, they learn this empath has teeth, claws and brain as sweet as I may seem. A narc colleague of mine, once tried to turn me against an empath colleague she didn’t like, by smearing her and telling me she was speaking hill of me in a meeting. I pretended to believe her, to be oh so affected, and then spoke to my colleague knowing quite well she hadn’t done nothing of sorts… then that colleague reported the narc to the manager… it was a blast to suddenly come into the back office and hear the manager asking the narc “why did you lie?” And she was like “ahmmm… ahmmm… ahammmm…” she only stayed one more month in the job… There’s been a few other stories, even against my narc father… who trained me well. I don’t go after narcs, but if they come for me and my narc radar beeps, I do show them either by anticipating them, or their behaviour, or no contact, or coldness there’s nothing for you here but hunger and pain.
