I've watched Willy's Wonderland over fifteen times. I can't get over the "boss fight" with Willy and Nicolas Cage.

There are small hints throughout the film that Imply that the Janitor had a history with Willy's and likely already knew about the animatronics somehow. He didn't fall for the suspicious tricks of the town to get him there, he simply went along with it.

Honestly curious, what are those hints? I love the movie but since he never says a word I’m not sure where any clues might be. It was Nic’s idea to have the character be silent so I don’t think it’s meant for anything other than style. Things I could think of: 1. He carries a huge supply of energy drinks for no discernible reason 2. Nothing he does indicates much surprise or confusion. 3. He refuses to leave 4. He doesn’t question any of what happens before he goes into the restaurant. 5. He might know about the pinball machine beforehand? I think a lot of that is just to make the movie more weird and stylised, which is Nic’s thing. He doesn’t seem interested in anything but the job until after the first attack so I always just put it down to Nic doing Nic Cage stuff, plus the mild comedy and clear parody of FNAF. Super interested to hear hints that there’s more to it than just that.

I should have worded it "I recall small hints" because at the moment I can't recite them, I'd need to rewatch the film again to be certain if I am remembering correctly or not. I know a small part of it, is his familiarity with the place, and his lack of hesitation. for example, his happiness with finding that pinball machine. and you don't just beat a pinball high score in a couple hours if you're not familiar with that specific machine. Other bits of evidence I'd need to rewatch to see if I could find them again. but you got quite a lot of the more obvious ones (from when you think about it) @@RightsForZombies

Also, I love how throughout the movie, whenever it cuts back to Willy after one of his comrades are killed, you can just feel Willy's rage building as he gets more and more p!$$3d off. By the time the Janitor brings goes toe-to-toe with him, Willy is now beyond reason and no longer willing to listen. His friends are dead, Tito is nowhere to be found, the night is almost over, and he's starving.
