The final fight is a fucking MASSACRE if you’re a Hunter. My loadouts are meta and I’m getting FUCKED. I’m practically 1-shot. It’s insanely damn stupid and you have zero time to fire back hardly.

It's not even mechanically difficult it's just...not fun. It's time gate and bullet sponges with an immune enemy that teleports and throws swords at you.

I like the story a lot, I hate the legendary difficulty of the campaign. A harder difficulty to me has meant maybe better ai for enemies, specific moves or attacks they might not do on lower level difficulties, maybe something environmental depending on the game, mastering certain mechanics of the game like learning how to block or counter is necessary in some games and so on. Just giving all the enemies massive health bars and almost no cool down on their abilities feels lazy, that doesn't make me feel like it takes more skill to beat the legendary just more time in the day to wait until the hp bar hits zero.

Yeah it has absolutely zero fun factor. The sad thing about this campaign is it starts really fun and then just becomes...bleh. so much of this has zero counter play.

Thanks a lot for this vid! I’ve been running this boss on legendary mode for a while and I’ve made a lot of runs through but every time me and a buddy would always get stuck on phase 2 so this helped out a lot!

I'm having an issue with the shield where the protective bubble just stops and has to be charged up again. The time it takes to recharge is enough to wipe the team. None of us can get the shield to continuously stay up. We even rebooted the game and tried normal mode just to confirm and it doesn't work there either. It lasts for a few seconds and then fails. Every few moments it can be brought back, but only for a brief moment.

Are you standing on the light crack? It gives you infinite charge

You have to make sure to stand on the fissure of light. It’s in the center of the back part of the arena.

The thing I discovered is that I can shoot the nodes that grant the buff against the poison damage. but yeah I keep dying instantly at 7:00, Full bar goes instant zero or if I live long enough I die to the debuff.

One "protip" be sure once you start the final boss fight you finish because if you get kicked or leave you have to start ALL THE WAY AT THE BOTTOM of Mount Doom again. I just got kicked at the end due to Bungo's servers being held together with bits of string and I have to waste another hour fighting through the entire mission again to get to the boss.

Did you land on the destination and hit the campaign flag? It should keep your cp. If u launch directly from the menu it will start you over.

Great video. Been struggling with this fight on legendary and I appreciate the tips that go beyond the mechanics. I figured out the mechanics myself, but I keep getting killed when fighting the second subjugator. Gonna try changing my loadout to include witherhoard and song of flame.

3 rules. 1. Clear the ads first. 2. Keep moving. 3. Bring a rocket Healing or DR greatly helps but not required. For my Hunter I actually used Mothkeepers and indebted kindness with voltshot. For the ads and also emergency overshields. I did the whole campaign with Lairs handshake on prismatic but it proved tricky in the final fight as you are too exposed and even with DR up Witness can 1 shot you. I did it solo. If youre with a team, this should be easiest thing ever.

yea this is easy solo, the Multiplicity modifier makes it tougher with 3

Edit: So I found out why, I swapped my super and melee because melee feels better as F, and that unbound my block button. 😠

I believe keyboard defaults to “C”, but I don’t play on controller. You can check in the settings menu. Look at the controller customization menu on consoles or PC.

The amount of BULLSHIT that I have to look up for this game is ridiculous. Not once do they give you any sort of indication that a light fissure spawns for you to use. Also I'm getting really tired of them making every boss fight practically impossible for solo people, especially solo hunters like myself. I solod the entire campaign legendary on my hunter. I’m no streamer. Doing 2nd/3rd run through with groups. Solo was by far the easiest.
