Janice, you are fortunate to have chickens because one dozen of large eggs runs between $4.00 and $4.50. The price of eggs has really gone up in the last month. I got some on sale for the expensive type eggs two dozen for six dollars. I agree that the oranges from Aldi have been very good and I’m going to have to get some more while they’re on sale. The asparagus looked beautiful and you are right that is an awesome price especially this time of year. I’m not sure if you make quiche but with your abundance of eggs and the asparagus it may be an option for you. I’ve made a quiche with the asparagus and you also add some shredded cheese. You can make it with a pie crust or make a crustless quiche. I think your family may enjoy that for breakfast lunch or dinner. A quiche is very versatile. You can add any vegetable or meat to it that you want. I’ve added ham and bacon and spinach. It is a good way to use leftovers or food before it goes bad There are many recipes online. II think you’re smart to stay in your budget and if you go over due to stock ups or fantastic sales then it’s ok. I noticed you didn’t buy Stevia soda anymore. I curtailed purchases on some beverages because water is a better option. Sorry I was so long winded but I enjoy chatting with you.

We raise a couple steer, some pigs, and way too may chickens right now. But its hard not to shop, i LOVE grocery shopping and i love your vids!!! ❤Janice just my opinion but I think you should not deny yourself your drinks. If I were addicted to anything it would be real true Coke. As a diabetic that’s a no no and it was very hard to give them up. If I had just an overwhelming craving for one I would get one but only one. Then I found I could handle diet Mountain Dew. Now that my health has declined so much and my bladder is really affected I learned that sodas are the very worst thing for our kidneys. I had discovered Coke Zero and really liked them but I could definitely tell a major difference in my bladder issues when I drank more of them and not as much water. So when I had Congestive Heart Failure I had to make major changes. I like the flavored waters but they are expensive. I settled on Splash and I can get my water in without struggling through drinking plain water. The price on Splash has gone up as everything has but it is more reasonable. Have you ever tried it? You work hard and you deserve a reward. Just my opinion but you can’t be the sacrificial one all the time. Trust God to provide and keep doing as you have been. Be good to your children’s Mama. Love n hugs my friend. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

Pop is a treat not a staple. We treat ourselves to some things once in awhile and that saves. We fill in gaps each week if the price is low. If it isn't we wait for a sale. I find that your sales prices are not as good as what I’m finding here in California. Especially the meat prices. Chuck roast $1.88 a lb. Farmers ribs 1.98 a lb. Chicken quarters .48 lb. Farmer John bacon 2.48 for 12 Oz. Avocados are better in your area. Roma tomatoes .88 a lb. Yellow onions 38 a lb. I’m sure it all equals out in the end though. Other than paper goods and dried beans, I don’t shop at Walmart. Have a great day Janice. You got me started on digital coupons. Thank you! I normally save 45 to 55% on my monthly groceries using sales and coupons. Eggs coupon 2.48 for 18.

Be careful of bugs in dollar tree beans or rice
@paulawinstead5660Ай бұрын
I for one have never had any issues with Dollar Tree beans and rice. Bugs can be found in any bagged beans/rice from any grocery store. Look up how many bugs/maggots(canned mushrooms), mice and rat droppings etc are "allowed" in processed food products. I now don't purchase canned mushrooms, only whole mushrooms and clean/slice them myself.
