Great video. So far im 11-3 since watching this video. The atuff in the corner has been really helpful. I think managing my games is going to be the key. Really using the time i have efficiently rather than spam queueing for hours. I will say i havent attempted a single flip reset since watching this video and its probably for the best.

Absolutely, just having 💯 concentration through a handful of games then if you wanted to, doing some extra drilling would be much more beneficial for most players 💪😁

@@AirChargedGaming so I've decided to only do about 5 games per sesh and it's working out well. If I've had a bad session then at least it ends there and I'm not flogging a dead horse. If I've had a good session then great! Quit while you're ahead and go get on with all the other shiz in life. Also the less number of games helps you reflect on what you could have done better. Becomes less of a blur. I've just crept back up to D2 which I'm pleased with. Really got your's and Flakes' words rattling round my head as I play.

I hit C2 Div2 last weekend, this is exactly what I needed to watch to progress. Been saying it for ages to friends that my peak is the first half an hour of play, my brain just thinks differently and this video confirms what I have always believed about myself. That wall challenge tip is golden… never thought about that dunk angle before 😅 gained a new sub from me, algorithm doing its thing for sure.

Sometimes I can play with d3/c1 in casual (Ive been checking my opponents in RLtracker) and then suddently in the next day I struggle in ranked in d1 lol i was wondering why it happens and noticed that im just not consistent. When I get to play like low champs its all because Im fast in these days and getting outplays for that, not because Im making better decisions... it really pisses me off sometimes and I still keep playing, which leads me to keep missing and stuff so suddently ur channel got recommended for me and I started watching these c2 replay analysis. I found out that I dive into corners a lot, Im always outta position when ball comes center cause I get too close to the play, I challenge while being 2nd man So today I tryed to play with all this in mind, focusing in my positioning and my decisions. I played around 5 ranked games and won all of them, then when I felt tired I just quit english isnt my first language but im working on it haha thank u so much for the tips

Very good video!! I have to say it's quite impossible to reach really high lvl beyond gc if you play 5 games max a day in my opinion, unless you grind the shit out of free play. 15 games is only 90 minutes of rocket leauge, ppl surley can focus for a full 90 minutes, it's defenitely not going to hurt you if you're not playing with your brain off. someone that plays 5 games will maybe get a good win rate for the time being but his improvment is going to be rly slow. pros scream for at least 2 hours a day, you can't stay on top while playing that little. players that get worse from playing for an hour, it's their fault not the time they spent in game. they're probably playing with their brain off like a dog chasing melted cheese going on fire. I know you are mostly right, I love your content and it's very helpful, just wanted to respond on the play 5 games or less comment. great vid!!
@consciousprophit7692 Жыл бұрын
On some level, I'm on board with you. I think the 5 game cutoff is maybe excessive and maybe just an exaggeration meant to say hey for real stop queueing when your brain is fried. But at the same time, really think about it. These high level athletes playing pro sports aren't playing thousands of games over and over. The cast majority of their time is spent training and reviewing past games. It's not exactly the same because it's a video game that takes 5 minutes to play a game, but for 100% certain he is correct that my sessions go for too long and I need to spend a much higher ratio of my play time doing drills and replay review rather than spam queueing for upwards of 3-4 hours.
@AirChargedGaming Жыл бұрын
Thank you🙏. Over time you will be able to play more games once you get the habits down. But for most people they should go for more drills and learn how to use them effectively.
@AstroAce7 Жыл бұрын
The 5 game cutoff isn’t a literal cutoff at 5 games. He is just saying don’t play to the point of exhaustion where you are likely to make errors repeatedly and end up embedding them into your gameplay. Rather play fewer games where you can provide a strong focus.

love ur way of explaining things. i am constantly on the move now to focus again on the fundamentals. especially gamesense and decision making because i found myself way too deep into the mechanical side of things. and i have indeed improved an awful lot in point of awareness and decisions. my problem is now that my dedicated mate and friend doesnt seem to want to change things in his own gameplay for the reason that way too many smurfs are on the move and we are in the Champ 1/2 rank since a good year now. i understand him not being motivated anymore to try but how are we suppost to get better when "he doesnt play serious at all"? and yes i quoted that because thats what he told me. so i am basicly the part of the team who always tries the best in ranked and even casual just so to see all my mistakes and try to fix them. and there i am watching my mate diving as last man for challanges that he can never win, losing that and no matter how fast i recover, ultimately getting scored on. i see so many mistakes that he does but i dont want to point them kindly out because then i am met with an annoyed tone. how am i suppost to handle that situation? Edit: we play since around 2.5 years together and came to the point, of teamplay, where we know exactly where the other one is and what they wanna do without even communicating and watching at all. its just the problem that he seems to be so stuck into that routine that he still does the same mistakes he did back at the start of where we reached champ for the first time. he has improved alot in shooting, like damn he slots goals u would think are from a gc1 or 2. while my passes are almost always a dime aswel. its the decisions he does as last man that cost us most of the games. i do mistakes aswel but it has bein regular now that i have to somewhat babysit him, now that more usually higher ranked player linger around in C1

Thank you so much for the kind words, really means a lot! This is such a tricky one because its a real hard one where you have to prioritise your improvement or your friends enjoyment. I suppose one thing I could offer is that we have a discord room where you may be able to find a teammate for when you do want to play more competitively. Or maybe suggest a different game mode to play with him for fun, such as dropshot? Wish you the best of luck on your journey!

I've definitely noticed that at the start of my session I am winning every game by playing smart and then that progress gets undone by me continuing to play even when I show signs of not focusing (such as autopilot following down the wing as 2nd man, or instantly jumping for a random ball in midfield that has like a 1% chance of being scored). You've gotten me curious as to what rank I would end up if I stopped playing when I am not playing good rocket league. So I'll do an experiment. My peak rank in 2v2 is champ 3 div 1(completely solo qing). My current rank is champ 1 div 3. I will follow all the fundamental rules you have given, to the letter, for 5 games a day. After the games, I will make sure I am following the fundamentals by looking at the replays of the game, and I won't play any more games so I don't build any potentially bad habits. I'm excited to see the results of this in a month or so. Honestly, just getting back to champ 3 would make me happy.
@AirChargedGaming Жыл бұрын
Can't wait to hear how this experiment goes. I wish you the best of luck and don't forget to drill where required. Thank you for watching and commenting 💪😁

Whose job is it to create the triangle at our own corner? I expect 2nd man to be at backpost and so i guess this has to be done by 1st man. What if 1st man made some offence and stuck at opponent side while opponents are charging. Should the 2nd man do an outside shadow and keep the triangle?
@AirChargedGaming Жыл бұрын
Great question, that depends on the space. Yes it is the first responsibility. If 1st is over committed then ideally the 2nd man should try and close down space and do an inside/ inline shadow and delay as long as possible. However if they're close you may need to dive or try and defend on the goal line :)
