This is good advice. But one thing I disagree about is the flick and aerials/mechanics comments. I suspect it might be this way in higher GC, ironically, but in C1-C3 my experience is that most opponents I face do actually do a lot of flicks and aerial mechanics. And good ones at that. Which to a higher ranked player might not be a problem, but for me is very hard to handle. When I play with my GC1-GC2 friend I feel more comfortable because I don't feel I get a lot of mechanics against me to defend. So when in C1-C3, I don't think the answer is only "don't worry about mechanics, because GC3's don't do them". C1's do them, and they are very hard to defend against. Again, solid advice, but what to do when you actually come against mechy players who can actually totally embarass you and read your every frkin move? It honestly feels helpless. Even simple flicks, I do one wrong tiny move or I challenge 0.3 seconds too late and they time a perfect 45 degree flick top corner, every god darn time. Don't get me wrong, I like the video, just feel so frustrated and hopeless.

These are gc1 players versing a diamond and a borderline ssl, where you consistently just cut the ball away from your lower rank mate thats sitting in net 80% of the game. This "pacifist" strategy is just soft boosting up untill the point where you cant 2v1 anymore. The attitude and the vibe of the video was nice though c:

The Pacifist System is highly aggressive in my opinion. It's just controlled aggression. Do you want to go into a fight throwing one haymaker after another round after round ? (That's the way a lot of people play RL) OR do you want to fight like Mohammed Ali ? Wearing down your opponents until it's time to strike. (That's the Pacificst system.)

I think that most people don't want to use this method because it needs activation of a certain organ that a lot of players would rather not try searching for. Usually the mentality is to chase (not always in a smart way) and it maintains people at the same rank for a long time. I'm usually playing with a friend who's around C1, and we play in C3-GC1 lobbies which seem easier with him than in solo queue, just because we focus in defence, we don't go unless necessary. The main thing of ranked 2s is that people would rather blame their mate for not saving the ball than actually trying themselves to play defensive. Instead, they will try something flashy, giving up possession, and putting their mate in an awkward position, and concede.

@stranger16luis71
@stranger16luis71 Күн бұрын
@mzako7448 I try to be the last man most of the time, but the 2 of them oftentimes don't position themselves defensively at all when I am let's say on the air just cleared the shot, and I need some time to come down from the air, in that moment I can't do anything and it being 3s, someone is obviously gonna go for that previously cleared ball. Now if the other 2 don't position defensively, then we are screwed. So being the last man still isn't really the answer a lot of the time. I think we need a good 3v3 strategy. And there aren't that much info on 3s as there's on 2s on youtube. I like to play 3s too, but it is often quite frustrating.

You should try catching the ball on the wall by holding brake. That way you can control and shoot it further. Plus the opponent 1st man usually commits thinking the 1st touch is all you could do so they get outplayed
@AirChargedGaming
@AirChargedGaming 2 күн бұрын
I'd need to see what situation you are regarding as it would never be recommended to put the ball on your car with 0 momentum as you can be dunked and the ball wouldn't have the momentum to roll off as quickly.

@@AirChargedGaming situation is when you're on blackboard and ball is coming towards wall with some power. Atleast at my ranks, opponents either try to read the rebound or wait for me to make weak clear or whiff. Even if they tried to dunk ball would pinch out and be hard to read for their 2nd man. So catching it and then making a harder clear has been less risky and gives me more options to adapt

Pretty sure that's already been attempted. Not sure whether it was successful. I doubt it as the attacks in higher level game play can be very difficult to defend. For example flip reset to bump or flip reset to fake. You need to continuously attack at higher levels rather than lure to corner etc.
@AirChargedGaming
@AirChargedGaming 2 күн бұрын
I don't think we did recently, me and raid have done a no mechanics one, but not a pure pacifist run. Although the attacks are difficult to defend in some regards, they are fairly simple and what the system is developed for. Also its not true at all that you have to continually attack at higher levels, most of our goals (VS RLCS players) come from counters as we recently beat two 2k players 2 games to 1 all via counters.

1s matchmaking around this rank is so weird. One game I'm beating someone 13-1 or something, next game I'm playing against someone who was 2k in 2s recently. I think people just don't play the gamemode enough for their rank to reflect their skill level, and it's unfortunate. It didn't used to be like this either. Back in F2P season 2 I was C2 in 2s and C2 in 1s. Now I'm GC1-GC2 in 2s, and still C2 in 1s.

Yeah its such a difficult rank, as you say, one minute you are against a 1s main who may be a lower rank and is a bit easier to deal with, then the next match you are against a 2k player who just doesn't play 1s and can score from anywhere :D. I really feel they need to do a rebalance of the 1s MMR

I think push dribbles w ball on ground are better for when your opponent is fully set up on defense. Bounce dribbles are more for counter attacks when ur opponent is somewhat awkward on D. That’s my experience at least
@AirChargedGaming
@AirChargedGaming 5 күн бұрын
Generally bounce dribbles are the best dribble, for opportunities, but I do agree you having a mastery of it all can really open up the game. Usually a push dribble you want to turn into some sort of carry, cut or bounce if you can. A push ball is a bit too flat to create often and does allow insta-challenges (which is why power slide cuts are so useful).

Not sure which part you mean on this one. The one where I came back I had to line toward net first, the boost wasn't the priority, the path across net was as it was open and its shootable, that line forced him to slow down, which was the plan, and then that gives me a chance to get boost. If I can make the defensive stop I can counter from there, if I don't its not a big deal as the net was open anyway, so it at least gave me an additional chance to play it out.
