I loved this episode 😍😍😍! Strangely, I’ve been thinking a lot about doing voice overs 🤣🤣🤣. I also do “ads” in my car but I then listen to my voice and I’m like I don’t sound great.

I always find it funny when that comes from a speaker 😂 but on a serious note alot of us are not exactly "excited" at the sound of our own voices that's why I started by saying that we need to shake this "ideal voice" we have in our heads. You sound like yourself and sometimes that's exactly what's needed. 🙂

Hi Keneilwe, you can deffinately have more than 1 agency representing and it's actually preferred because that will lead to more opportunities. Perhaps WHEN you become famous, an agency might negotiate that they be the only one to represent you and you'd then have to do a pros and cons analysis to figure out if the deal is worth it. 🙂

I just checked their website now and they have a package for about R4000, is that the same package you took or a different one. P.S I understand the prices might change due to the time frames and you mentioned that you did while they were running a promotion. I just want to confirm if the training you are referring to from your video is the one I am seeing from the website (Cause they have a number of different options)

It’s a pleasure! I attended the boot camp and I think the course was about R3500 at the time and there was a limited special online offer that I took advantage of and ended up playing R2500 including 3 demos.I just had a look at the website and it looks like the bootcamp is now R4000 and there’s nothing said about Demos. I think it’s best to email them and ask what’s included in the R4000 boot camp…

Hi Thobeka, one of my voice over coaches is based in Port Elizabeth so there are deffinately avenues all over the country. Google is your friend when it come to these type of things!

Hey, it's a pleasure! The agent books gigs for me, takes an upfront commission and then pays me my share.

Hi Zenande. If a company/business is hiring you, they usually expect you to hand over a finished product to them so when and how you record is your responsibility, however, agents do have studios they work with and sometimes their own studios and they cover the costs. I think if someone is expecting you to cover the studio costs, you would have to make sure the payment is big enough to A) Cover that cost + B) Cover your fee.
