How can you start a voice over career in 2020? I know it seems impossible in the current situation we are in. Where do you even record when most studios are closed for business due to the pandemic? In this video I answer both of these questions. And the best part about it is that you don't even need to leave your house. Starting your career as a voice over talent is very possible in this climate, especially because most advertisers and production houses are looking for home based talents to enforce social distancing. And it will be a huge advantage for you, as a talent, if you have your own recoding set-up at home. That will immediately put you on top of their list, because they would need someone who can actually record remotely and give them quality voice recording.
I am a professional voice over talent, and have been for more or less 10 years now, and I have recorded paid projects in my work from home set up. Let me show you how you can also do this by recording your demo reel in a DIY recording booth right at your own home! I have also included a lot of useful and practical tips in putting your demo reel together, so that you can start your career as a voice over talent in 2020. A killer demo reel is your way to get voice over gigs through websites like Fiverrr, Voice Bunny and Voices.com and other voice over jobs online where companies or individuals go to look for voice overs talents for their ads online. Also signed up with Voices.com and ran into a wall when filling out my profile: they want you to list how you record for live directed sessions. They list Source Connect, ISDN, ipDTL, Phone Call, Phone Patch, Video Conferencing or 'Other' (Clean Feed, Session Link Pro, etc). Any thoughts/suggestion on these and which I realistically should be using? Thanks ;)
