I’m only 15, but i spend hours playing this game everyday(like 5-8) depending on if i have school. I can feel myself getting better, but I just can’t see the results yet and it’s very discouraging. I would like to go pro. I feel like I have only about 3 years to really make a push for challenger/masters. Should i be dropping my online friends that are holding me back?

If I could go back in time when I was in the same situation as you I would definitely drop them. It for making your life potentially more succesful. They will most likely rot in low elo, but you might make it possible. Trust my words brother and see you on worlds

no matter the case, if you're 15, you have time before the "curse of being old (above 25)" hits you. I highly suggest dropping your friends that're holding you back as I did mine. The few low elo players who still talk/play with me also only happen to simply be real life friends as well and I'll occasionally play with them on my smurf if I'm not feeling mentally prepared to play at my current higher rank or just simply want to cool off from a tilting experience.

You're only an addict, if you actually want to spend all that time to the game. If you don't want to and do it regardless to actually reach that goal it's not addict I'd say. I mean the term "workaholic" doesn't stand in such a bad spot in direct comparison, even tho it's technically being addicted to your work. And I think a lot of pro players actually think about league as their work and playing all the time to be able to keep that job. I think actually the pure casual fun factor is barely existing for them.
