For me, my emotions get big when I'm operating under really work-heavy situations or when others rub their feelings off of me. I really love the intellect vs emotion dichotomy you drew by the way. So simple to remember for stressful situations, yet so to-the-point! Another thing: Kind of a shock to hear someone say to "bottle up your emotions." But thinking about it, it actually makes sense & I changed my mind on that. Growing up as a kid, we were always told to "let it all out." In retrospect that was probably not a good idea. 😶 Really nice video, dude! Keep up the good work!!! 🙂 By the way, do you consider it to be an unmanly negative trait, as a man, to fear bugs & snakes?

Thank you! It depends on what you mean by "fear." I think, as humans, we all have a natural dislike and aversion to such critters. After all, the venomous ones are often hard to tell from the harmless ones, and so we're wired so that they all give us the willies. However, it is like I said in the video: it's fine to have all manner of emotions, but you have to be able to control them. So if you begin to feel scared upon seeing a snake or a bug of some sort, that's normal and fine. But if it causes you to freak out, scream, drop something important, etc., then you need to work on that. Bugs and snakes (I say this from experience.) are about the easiest potentially dangerous animals to kill, and so I think it's important that you're able to do so. You never know if, maybe as a father one day, your kid might fall in a ditch or something and you have to go get him out, only to find the ditch is crawling with snakes. I think the key to remember is that men (and even older children, really) are much more powerful than snakes, including venomous ones, as all it takes to beat one is crushing its head with a good stick, cutting its head off with a shovel, or even just hitting its head with a rock (all of these are things I have done). Bugs obviously can usually be killed without even a weapon - sometimes I just use my hat to swat them out of the air before crushing them on the ground. (Just wait until three or four wasps start coming at you, and that game gets FUN.)
