Wow, great video; I have made my first job change after a year and doubled my salary in the same role (IT support) . I am learning Linux and my next stop is the system admin position. Thank you so much for the guidance.

I got into this IT market doing computer repair and making only $15/h here in Dallas, TX. I stayed in that company for only 1 and a half month, and I found and opportunity in a company that recycles electronic equipment, including computers and Monitors. So they needed someone to test some computers that still looking good for resale. And this is a new area for this company so I'm the first tech here and the only one so far. Which gives me an opportunity to become leader or manager in this area. The pay is only $18/h, they pay biweekly and I receive about $1300 to $1690 including a $200 bonus and after taxes. To me this is just a starting point because I want to be a database administrator (DBA). I'm starting the DBA course next month. I'm also taking my A+ certification at Asher College in Dallas.

Nice. Looks like you have a solid plan. Let me know what other video topics are of interest for you and I see what I have coming up or add topics to my list.

@@ITCareerGuide Thank you sir The topic that I like is when you do "A day in life of a DBA" for example. Or talk a little bit more of Networking and codding. I really enjoyed your videos. Keep it up.

Yes me too, I'm trying to break on IT but I'm using a Job orientated training not the college route.
@ITCareerGuide3 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with that.

@@ITCareerGuide I agree, and it's the best thing that happen to me, next 2 months we are gonna prepare for RHCSA certification so I can start with apprenticeship closing tickets and trouble shooting after getting the cert so I can be job ready with real world experience.

Im a teen who just finished high school and i dont know what to do man.. shall i take the college route? I wont like it that much but if needed i gues... or just start with the a+ cert, get hired on help desk and move up the ladder?
@MurangShaBu_MahalNaBiGas3 жыл бұрын
@@aty4282 that's a good way, however how about having a college training but a fraction of the price, what I mean is that you can pay a bit more just to have a very competitive training that is targeted to have a high paying job. I just got a RHCSA cert considered one of a hard cert to get, and I'm on the way for my internship so I can have an in demand market experience so I am qualified for a higher bump of pay when I have my job. It's gonna take me approximately 2 months of internship a total of 80 tickers I'm going to resolved. Do your research and I can also point you to the school I'm been to if you like.

Thank you very much, you are so helpful! May I ask you what kind of certifications are the best to start an IT career?

It depends on which track you are looking at. Systems administration? Software Developer? Database admin?
