That didn’t feel like.. belting? I dont know nothing really felt different. My mom always told me she lost her voice when she first belted so i musta been doing it wrong
@gabriellacarolina23944 жыл бұрын
maybe she did it wrong because she shouldnt have lost her voice if she did it right.
@kargovroom77013 жыл бұрын
Your mom probably had no breath support and she could’ve been yelling while she was belting. That’s a common mistake, even most famous singers sing that way. It may make your voice sound good, but makes you lose your voice afterwards
@leila.sabrina11823 жыл бұрын
if your mom lost her voice then she wasn't doing it correctly.

I have struggled a LOT with this emotional side- my jaws get tense the SECOND I am anxious. I have worked super hard for this- now for 2 years. Trauma therapy, taking care of my mental state & stress levels as well as singing rehearsals. I wonder what difference does it make if you're contralto? I'm not sure if i'm contralto or mezzo or is it simply the fact that I'm a self taught singer - you can literally hear me belting and making it softer Édith Piaf (big big fan^^) type version while I sing higher notes. You can also see me thinking "up and over up and over relax relax) My latest one is lovely Shania Twain's From This Moment On. Lower tunes come naturally for me but I definitely have in me to belt higher too.

Ok I feel really stupid right now but belting isn’t supposed to be the higher pitched soft voice, but instead your like shouting voice but singing, idk if that makes sense but I’m super confused and am not sure which one cause the shouting singing one sounds terrible but the higher softer pitched one feels too high and fake so I really need help.

I’m here, because I really am struggling in belting higher. I am trying to sing I say no from Heathers and during the chorus the higher notes feel flat and forced. I am like literally in tears, because every tutorial I find it doesn’t seem to help much. I’ve been in choir for years and music even longer. I am a soprano as well so I can sing high in my head voice and well, but I have a hard time belting in my mixed voice. I don’t know how to belt it out without feeling forced or flat. I try relaxing but it feels like my vocal chords tense up anyways. Anything really I am grasping for any help here. I do the exercises and I have good breathe support, but I can’t seem to figure this out. :(
I can honestly say everything she’s saying about the diaphragm is exactly the same in screaming. If you scream from your throat you will destroy your voice and it sounds weaker. I’m just now learning to sing clean vocals, I’m surprised to see so many similarities.
