I have always been a belter and I'm 13. I attend a musical theatre school on a Saturday. I also have a singing teacher but she sings classical, she doesn't let me use my chest voice. My singing teacher, music teacher and most people at school, who don't do musical theatre,say that belting is bad for you. But I always say that some people are built to belt (I have a wide range in my chest voice) and that you just need to use the right techniques. So please can you do a singing video about musical theatre singing. Thank you, love your videos. Xx

@asstroeongdong-min17094 жыл бұрын
How to use belly power: (Key tips before continuing: there should be no tension on the throat. Its all on the bottom of your butt. Push it down down down like youre taking the fattest shit of your life. Never release ab tension as long as youre singing) -imagine breathing with your feet -imagine youre inflating a swimming tube around your waist. Also inflate your lower back -imagine youre gonna carry a refrigerator 2x your size, add the "hmp!" that naturally goes with it -imagine the feeling of crying like a baby. Those things scream with their whole diaphragm. Have you heard of a baby that lost its voice from crying? Nope Finally how to actually use that in singing: Sing like an owl. Do it as light as possible. Fill your brain with sound And watch this vid. From noob to Ariana Grande in 15 minutes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnunk4Gil8iUapY

Here, try this. Hold your hand up to your mouth, About 3-5 inches away, and pretend that your fingers are candles and you need to blow them out.

Whenever I try and sing higher notes in my chest voice, I'm always straining so I have to go to my head voice, which is really quiet. This teal!y helped me know what to do!

I'm in love 😍 learning how to improve my vocals from home with someone who obviously has an incredible voice, but a great personality, and is so easy on the eyes 🥰

Why the hell is this so good It works so well I’m a classical singer but I love broadway so I’m used to hearing people belt incredible notes and I could never even closely reach them and if I tried my throat would hurt so thank you so so much 🌻

My opera classically training is great, but it means that I’ve really not kept up in contemporary, but I really want to make it into a contemporary acapella group 😅Also, your kid in the background, so adorable!

I grew up singing and belted everyday after I was 10 because these girls at my school said that they couldn't hear me very well so I started singing louder and ever since, I sang that way. Now, I'm leaning different ways to sing and I realize that when I'm singing in a microphone, it sounds much prettier and clearer using a more soft voice.

I struggle with this, I have always sung in my head voice (never even knew I was doing it until I got a lesson one day) and the coach who identified it said my head voice is near pitch perfect. Cool. BUT now I have learned how to sing in my chest register, but I can't go very high in chest before I have to switch to head, UNLESS I sing LOUD, I mean LOUD. Help?!
@RosieJAHastings7 жыл бұрын
Kirsty Cameron this is the same as me!!! This would be great to hear tips on!
@HeyBerrie6 жыл бұрын
I have the logic that when you have sung all your life in head voice, this is your comfort zone. To get rid of this comfort zone you have to practice every week (even 2 or 3 times) and at first it is totally OK to be loud. For me, chest voice was loud like 2 years and then I could regulate it more easily... now it is very easy, it just needed some working out period.

Its amazing how many singers sing from their throat and not diaphragm. It will tire you out so fast, not sound as good or worse damage your voice

at 3:59 it was so cute that the baby was also yelling "hey". they also wanna learn to belt😂
