I already received a lot of messages that people noticed their mistakes or that they already learned it thanks to this video. It makes me very happy that I can teach players and that this video already helped them a lot. Thank you all for the very positive feedback ❤️ Of course we don't stop here and I will bring up more guide videos. They just take a bit of time to make 😅

It‘s not a recommended method though. It‘s fine as an easy way to get into bomb recoveries but you should always aim to learn the fastest methods which use the least resources, so ideally you wanna learn how to do it without using b-reverse and without using your double jump

this is the best guide I could find. what I really like about this move is that you do not have to get it perfect everytime for it to be effective, there is room for error as the bomb will send you back to stage as long as the original setup is good. advice for those still learning: learn to tech the under part of the stage and then it’s easy to grab ledge rather than be sent back somewhere random on stage which can be punished. I wait a little longer to get really down and then just tech and jump go the ledge. Great video!
@FelipeKana13 жыл бұрын
A few extra tips: If you have your double jump, jumping and releasing the bomb at the peak of the jump is a nearly guaranteed good position to bomb back (while facing stage) If you can't jump anymore, you can release the bomb, drift a little bit, and blast. But a common mistake is people blasting to early and the blast misses. That's because after release the bomb is not falling at the same speed as link, but if you wait ONE second (say "one Mississippi" in your head), the bomb catches up with you and it's ok. If you can't wait (because you're too low), throw the bomb down and blast it (the fast fall method shown here). Another tech is to spawn the bomb, release, and explode it in very VERY quick succession. Hard to pull of Plus, REMEMBER TO TECH! Another thing, the bomb always launches you upward. No risk of it launching you down. Just be sure to be on right side (left or right) of it.

Your creativity with bomb recovery inspired me to look at the bomb as an extension of link that I can keep as a moving wall with angled boomerang hits. Super great for stage control and mix up opportunities from bomb pressure.🙇🏾♂️🙏🏾
@daringiconoclast65472 жыл бұрын
When I find I'm losing a matchup hard (like a palutena) I put a lot more hitting the bomb and just hanging around it to wait for an opportunity to actually use it against them into my play and that usually fixes the issue. Bomb is top 3 projectiles in the game. It's versatility and low risk reflection makes it rival charge shot for best in my opinion.

I've been trying to get this on my own for a while; randomly managed it a couple times. Never would have guessed you have to not drift and wait for the bomb pull animation to end. I've been playing Link since Smash 64, but hated how they ensured none of the tech people discovered in Melee came over to Brawl, and slowed everything way down. Never got into Smash 4 cuz it just felt like faster Brawl. I'm actually having some fun with Ultimate, though it's frustrating they brought back directional air dodge and didn't make it work like Melee, cuz having wavedash/land function just like Melee would be such an amazing movement/spacing option. It's also frustrating that the one cool advanced tech from Brawl, DACUS, isn't possible. Makes Snake suck so much more. Project + is still IMO the best. Link's recovery is so dynamic thanks to aerial glide toss.

Wait... what do you have L and R mapped to?? It's weird to just say L and R simultaneously with no other notes while using an archaic controller no one uses anymore. Do you have Shield mapped to R? Grab? Do you have jump mapped to L? Shield mapped to L? The vast majority of us use pro controllers so do you mean ZR and ZL? I have shield on my ZR and Jump on my ZL. If you still mean L and R on pro controller then I have grab on my R and jump on my L. Instructions unclear, ended up burning down my house...
