So true bro i was getting 2 bars where as my android phone was getting full signals but after selecting manually signal bar was full like u said it constantly search for different signals but manually it focuses on one carrier for better signal strength then it should also decrease the battery consumption used for signal searching hence increase in battery life also by doing this i guess two purposes are being resolved nice advice thank u very much

Cool tip, thanks! It's important to remember that you need to set your network back to 'auto' when you're roaming outside the coverage of your carrier network, otherwise you'd have no service.
