Power Bleeder Reservoir Bottle: amzn.to/2pTViFC
Just takes about an hour your first time, half an hour each time after that. Should be done every 2 years if you're a spirited driver. RBF600 is by far not necessary for daily driving but if you can afford it, go crazy!

Hi, thanks for the video. With this pressure bump "Power Bleeder", is it a must to have "Motive Products 1810 Bottle"? Can it be connected with a tube to a trash bin? If yes, what size do you recommend for this tube? Many thanks again for your tips.

thank you for this, very basic! never seen a power bleeder before , why not just get a friend to pump the pedal and top up the reservoir as you go ?

You need pressure to pass the abs pump.

Quick question I know this video is old but what if you changed the front brakes and lines and never did the rear, now I’m changing the rear brakes and lines do I have to bleed the entire system???

I think an expert should chime in on that question. It's a closed system with brake fluid not really circulating so I guess sure, that would be fine. but I don't want to give bad advice.

Would the motul rbf600 be an overkill for gti that isn't tracked? I've a 2015 gti stage 2 apr!

Yeah probably, GTI w/ OEM brakes driven spiritedly and not tracked, just use DOT4 OEM brake fluid. You can grab it at ShopDap or your dealer. the RBF600 is good for when things get really hot...multiple 60-0 brakes in a row then it starts to shine.

Isn't suppose to be the farthest from the brake cylinder?, should've been right rear to left rear and right front to left front.

Not according to VW's service manual. Many have said the method I displayed is backwards. Do a bit of googling and you'll find what I did.

That's not vws protocol for the mk7 GTI and R. It's as shown in this video.

Yeah -- this caught me completely by surprise. I have always done right rear first on my 2001 Passat wagon, but I am now due for a fluid flush on my 2016 Sportwagen. Wanna do it right. Is left front first just for manual transmission cars or Golf Rs, or for all Golf Mk 7s?

Motul RBF 600 is ok for ABS systems but not correct for Volkswagen ESP brake systems due to its viscosity at low temperature. Yes, you wrote Motul is not necessary for daily driving. The right brake fluid must have a low temperature viscosity of 750 cst, Motul is about 1800 or more.This may affect beahviour of ESP at low temperature.

Did you notice any difference between the oem vs Motul brake fluid?
@AdamChandler86
@AdamChandler86 4 жыл бұрын
Nope. For daily driving, just use DOT4 brake fluid, no need to overpay.

Hy Adam ,talked to mechs at VW ,for oem caliper setup the right way is the way listed by handbook ,and also the way you did it . But when going BBK setup ,the process is to bleed the calipers from back starting from the right caliper
