The best part about this video for me is watching a scratch golfer go round 5 over par and not moan and make excuses. Lee is a true gentleman, great golfer and a fantastic addition to team Golfmates. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@Wesley_Juakali3 жыл бұрын
He is hitting it soft and trying to fade it. On the par 4 of 350 yards he hit a 3 wood in draw 270 yards. So he is just taking it easy on most hits, you can see that he is using his scratch player shots to make it count otherwise he was +12 or +15.
@Wesley_Juakali3 жыл бұрын
From these distances, he is playing men front tees, he could should -1 or -2 easily.

Lee sends the same message as OMP - think!!!! Play the game you’re capable of, not the one you’d like to believe you can. At 68 year old playing off 28, I watched OMP, took notice of his advice and within three months got my handicap down to 18!! For you younger guys who can hit the ball further, listen to Lee and get yourself down to 5. Looking forward to the next few months with the hope my handicap will come down closer to 10. Thanks OMP, thanks Lee, thanks Liam. Golf Mates - the best golf channel on KZbin , no question!

Excellent information throughout Lee. My first bit of info was when David Howell said to me" imagine a dustbin lid area around the hole, putt to that distance and you cut 5 to 6 shots off of your total score" . that is so true as you get rid of the 3 putts, leaving you with 36 strokes maximum when putting. the other great info From Lee is Course Management, your points made are perfect for mid to high handicapper. keep up the good work. I’d say first thing to do would be to listen to OMP !! I’ve played with so many OMP’s over the years who hit it 180-200 down the middle every time, hybrid/mid iron another 120-160, pop it on the green with a wedge and 1 or 2 putts. No doubles/triples, mostly bogeys, a few pars and the odd birdie thrown into the mix and suddenly they’ve knocked it round in low to mid 80’s. No fuss, no dramas and you’re sitting in the clubhouse afterwards thinking how the heck did that happen as you’re paying for the drinks 😂

Great advice Lee! When I carried a 4, I played a similar style of golf! The course I played was a little over 7000 yards from the Championship tees. Three of the Par 5's ...you could be aggressive... but one of them had a water hazard on the left that extended the whole length of the green. You had to play that hole really smart, otherwise you could make double bogey or worse! Even now, at 63 years old, I try to use course management, and OMP's traffic light system to help me score better!
