There was an AT endurance record history before David Horton's record in 1991. Karel Sabbe's supported 41:7 record will stand for a long, long time (like DiMaggios consecutive hitting streak in baseball). Warren Doyle AT Endurance record holder 1973-78

I don't know if I could even even walk for a week straight let alone a through hike to finish the AT in one shot. Crazy.

First, I love the Meal2Go bars. Next, breaking the AT time record is extraordinary. However, long distance hiking is already an endurance sport. What is beyond that? Water is available. Food supplies would be my concern. Kudos to those who endure the misery. Bravo to your successes. Happy Trails!
