Tips: I buy 'unsweetened' applesauce & add a teaspoon of cinnamon to it... this works for me & goes down well. I eat healthy salads with vinaigrette. Also, if you like garlic use lots of it in tasty recipes. Fermented foods sauerkraut & kimchi (probiotic powerhouse) is effective to lower blood glucose... but don't go overboard with any excessive salt intake.

Wow!!! My blood sugar was 138. I haven’t taken my metformin meds as yet, but since you mentioned about bringing sugar levels down quickly with exercise, I thought I would give it a try. I jumped on the elliptical machine for just over 4 minutes at a pace a little higher than I normally do. Anyway, 20 minutes later I checked my levels and it was 114. It never goes down that quick even with meds. I’ll have to keep this in mind in the future. I’m trying to get off these harsh meds, and perhaps doing exercise on a regular basis will help. Much mahalo.

I'm type 2 and not on insulin; walking for at least 30 minutes always lowers my sugar significantly. Also lifting stuff. I was on a Zoom meeting at work, and checked my sugars after I had a "cheat" breakfast an hour prior-my sugar was at 150, which is within acceptable range but too high for my liking. I then began lifting up my desk chair a few times, did a couple of squats, and did random exercises you can do at your desk. I did this for all of maybe 10 or 15 minutes; nothing too strenuous and stopped when my arms or legs started to feel sore or tired. I checked my sugar 30 minutes later, it had dropped down to 63.

Does doing sport like tennis increase or decrease blood sugar levels?
@seikibrian86413 жыл бұрын
In the short term, it can increase blood sugar because high-intensity exercise will trigger release of sugar from the liver. In the long term, though, it will lower blood sugar, because you're burning sugar, including the sugar that is released by the liver. (You need to keep your food intake in check, though, or you'll just be putting more sugar back into your liver. Type II Diabetes is more common in obese people for a reason.)

I was never diagnosed with diabetics but 5 years ago i had adrenal fatigue and along with other symptoms i had a small spot above my knee that felt numb or was tingling. I got that in control taking vitamins nad minerals while fixing adrenals. But here and there would comeback..now its bigger mostly if i ate bit much sweet stuff -i don't eat lots of processed food or sugar, i eat more healthy. However i got an ulcer and i was eating bread, oats etc what seems to be ok for ulcer but to day my leg was feeling the spot (i put apple cider vinegar and helped) I also felt off like i knew my sugar must be high ...i took chromium and it made me feel a bit better...My question is i am really diabetic...or its my leaky gut that messes with my sugar level. What should i do?? Thank you for any answers
