Great information Fred. I am making my first trip to the Philippines next week to meet my LDR in person for the first time. I expect to be asking for a consultation in the near future....Thanks

My scenario. I will retire in the Philippines. I need guidance to get her in the process of getting her a visa to be able to visit the states with me. Eventually I would like to get her green card/ citizenship. I will be visiting next week for 3 weeks. I plan on retiring next year 2024 when I turn 62. Thank you

Your partner can apply at any time for a visitor visa. If approved she can visit the USA with you. As far as permanent residency/citizenship she won't be eligible for those unless the two of you relocate to the USA, then remain in the USA once permenant residency is granted for at least 3 years.

greetings, your response made me curious, but what if a person were to marry their flipina girlfriend in the phillipines, but shes not interested in becoming a us citizen, is there a way to get her a usa visa to travel with spouse to the usa once or twice a year?....@@Visacoach

Hi Fred My fiancée is an overseas Filipina worker in Hong Kong. She was previously married and then got divorced in Hong Kong. Does she still need a Cenomar? Does she still have to go to Manila for her interview or can she go to embassy in HK? Thank you in advance.

If she remains in HK and is processed there, she will not need a cenomar and she will be deemed "free to marry" and thus eligible. If she returns to Manila, she is still married, not "free to marry" so the application will be denied.

Hi Fred, I have a fiancee in Ormoc, Philippines and we have known each other for about 1 and half years but I haven't traveled to see her yet. I recently was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer but I'm doing great but I was wondering if there is an exception to traveling to meet her and what would be the requirements involved, could I bring her to the United States without going to the Philippines, anyway thankyou very much, Thomas Hettrick

Well if your doctor says you should not travel, that it puts your life at risk, then we would take his diagnosis and include it with your K1 fiancee visa application, and request that they waive the in-person meeting requirement. See www.visacoach.com/waiver-k1-fiancee-visa-in-person-meeting/ But If you CAN travel, you should, because the process after you apply, IF they accept the waiver request will still take about 14 months, and you want to spend as much time with your partner as you can as soon as possible.

How long you date her before K1vista
@Visacoach6 ай бұрын
There is no simple answer. You date for as long as it takes to decide you want to marry. Hopefully, this ALSO is long enough to impress a skeptical reviewing officer that your relationship is "bona fide" not a sham for immigration purposes.
